I went shopping at a couple of places today and the names of two of the people who were working there caught my eye. The first is...well...interesting. The second I don't understand at all. I didn't ask if it was still pronounced like Stephanie or if it was pronounced Stephen-eye. I wish I would have, though.

Corrinthians and Stephanye.

Just wondering what you guys think. We visited one of my cousins while driving through their town on our honeymoon. I think the names are fine, a bit all of the same flavor, though, and NMS.

my second cousins(or once removed. whatever it is)
Parents Richard( Rick) and Rachel
Aubrey-- I think this name 'goes' with the others, but FWIW she's from a previous marriage of Rick's
Ashton-- not a bad name, but the mother, my cousin, has a sister name Ashley and one of her brothers just married an Ashlie. We've serisouly consdiered Ashley for a boy, but we don't see that part of th family much anyway. It might be kinda weird, though, since our daughter's name was Brenna and it didn't even occur to me that Rachel brother is Brennon and her mother is Brenda.
Carter
Parker
Hunter

And for good measure-- some of my cousins.. all siblings. I see a definite trend towards more unusual names as they had more and more children.
Parents Thomas(Tommy) and Brenda
Ashlie
Summer
Charity
Ryan
Rachel
John Brennon
Bowman
Britton
Creed
Shaffer
Stryder (I just can't get over the fact that Stryder just married an Ashlie)
Paris

WDYT?

It amuses me that their names used to strike me as insanely weird, but as the years go by seem more and more comparably normal.

That's pretty much all I can think of.  When I have kids, some 10 years from now, I want to name my girl Brady October. A few other girl names I like are Albany, Ithaca, Kylie, Nora, and Sadie. I'm not really sure about boy names though :]

ugh not on a girl!

on a separate note, how do you feel about:
anneliese isabelle (not isabella, never liked it although i do think it sounds better)
anneliese elisabeth

lmao it's like anneliese is destined to be a middle name ONLY, it seems like nothing sounds right following it.

I signed my kids up for a soccer class for 3-5 year olds. first things first: coach went through the line and name-tagged each kid. my 3-year-old refused to speak up, so the kid next to him offered his own name, which the coach mistakenly believed he was offering as my son's name. so, he labeled my son with the other kid's name tag.

so... guess what name got stuck on my kid. no, really, just guess. I'll give you a hint: it's on this list.

I'm bored, so I decided to make a list of my friends. What they go by in parentheses. Significant others(if any) are followed behind them and kids(if any) are underneath :] Enjoy my boredom.

My boyfriend is beginning to know me all too well. He texted me the other day from his first aid training class. The message read:

Message 1: "There is a guy in my first aid class. Disgusting name."

Message 2: "Klyntin"

Oh, I chuckled.
