Date: 2008-06-25 05:48 am (UTC)1. luna is just a little too out there for me, and...
2. my children are extremely likely to have red hair and fair skin and naming someone who looks like that "india" would just be odd.
but i LOVE them! and together! yes!

Date: 2008-06-25 06:08 am (UTC)India reminds me of India Arie. I like her music and I LOVE her middle name... so I like India.
They are definitely not names you hear everyday. =)

Date: 2008-06-25 07:47 am (UTC)Of course, America Ferrara's doing okay for herself, it seems, but I would bet oooodles she got tired of the *original* teasing of her peers and is only now living it down by making lots of money. Playing somebody ugly. :os

Date: 2008-06-25 09:36 am (UTC)I really like "hippie" names :D
Luna means Moon in italian and India means River in sanskrit, so what's there not to love? ;)
I like the sounds too and it makes a good sibset
The only glitch for me is that India is also a country and people might think straight away that the parents are buddha & curry fanatics, when maybe they're not.

Date: 2008-06-25 02:40 pm (UTC)I knew a little girl named India (the place her father was from, though she never actually went there so there was no obvious place name awkwardness as some people said above) and it suited her. I definitely think that the names are better once you meet someone with them than "on paper".
