uh gross gross
on tlc i do believe i just heard "baby girl hunter"
ugh not on a girl!

on a separate note, how do you feel about:
anneliese isabelle (not isabella, never liked it although i do think it sounds better)
anneliese elisabeth

lmao it's like anneliese is destined to be a middle name ONLY, it seems like nothing sounds right following it.

I love both, though I prefer Anneliese Elisabeth better :)

Hunter on a girl is bad.

Annaliese Isabelle and Annaliese Elisabeth are both way too long. I think it sounds better with a strong one syllable name. My favorites are Annaliese Quinn and Annaliese Paige.

I agree. I don't think that either name is too long. They flow very well with Del Vecchio.

I don't think a syllable count is an issue. How often would she be called by her first, middle and last name. I love the luxurious flowy sound of long names like the ones you have chosen and I don't think that they're too long in the least. I have four syllables in my entire name and I find it quite annoying.

Then again, I favor historically british and royal family names, which generally have many syllables. People will tell you that giving your child a complicated name will traumatize them. Ignore them. Everyone learns to write and say their name and having a longer name will not slow this process down, trust me.

I agree! Despite how morbid it may sound, I think a child should be given a name that will one day look good on a tombstone (or plaque, any other sort of monument, or a resume!).

I don't think it's important to have good rhythm to the syllables, so I do like variety of syllable count, but that can be achieved with all longer names; one and two syllable names really don't need to be included, in my opinion.

I do have to ask, however, how are you pronouncing "Katherine Abigail" to get TEN syllables?

Ah, I did not catch the discussion about the last name, so I was utterly confused.

I think Anneliese Lillian is just as pretty as the others and sounds just as pleasant. I still like Elisabeth the best as it's my top girl name choice (same spelling). I agree with you on the too many L's issue, but it's not as if it will be said frequently and over and over again.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any nicknames for Anneliese? I thought about using the name Annalise once upon a time (my name is Alyce pron uh-leece) but I never really found a nickname I liked.

Elliot Andrew is very nice also. I really like the name Andrew but I don't know that I would use it. My boys name is Sullivan Michael Hollis. I'm considering changing Sullivan though. I chose it because I like Sully as a nickname but I don't know if I still really love it.

No, I've never seen that show. Hollis is a family name belonging to my paternal grandfather, great-grandfather and others I think. Michael is my fiance's name.

I've really started liking the name Oliver recently, though I have a feeling Mike won't care for it much.

Heh, mine probably would too. Especially my future father in law. He can be a real jack ass. I also like Connor- more irish names it seems for the boys, more english names for the girls, heh.

I like Hunter on a girl. Was the name of a character on Grosse Pointe (I miss that show) and the name of a client at the talent agency my friend worked at. (Middle name was Nicole.)

I thought of Hunter on Grosse Pointe too.

Although she was kind of scary.

I personally hate Anneliese :P
and I'm not sure how this german name was pulled out of the hat and suddenly became popular in american taste.

Anyway, I think it sounds best with a short middle name.
I tried coming up w/ suggestions, but I'm brain-dead at the moment sorry!

I love Anneliese, and was considering it to honor my BF's German heritage and last name, until it apparently started getting popular for some reason. :^(

Anyway, I think both Isabelle and Elizabeth have too many of the same sounds as Anneliese, so they don't flow well together. Maybe something like Anneliese Maria? That sounds pretty.

I prefer the spelling Annelise, but I agree that Annelise Elisabeth is a poor combination; it's way too lispy.

I've always thought Hunter was a stupid name, but I think I prefer it on a girl.

the other day I was watching A Baby Story, and the mom was saying how since her first daughter is Samantha, nickname Sammy, it would be cute to name their new baby Cameron, nickname Cammy. Sammy and Cammy! How cute!!! And then, turns out, they spelled her name Kameryn or something similar. I immediately thought of the people on here who would be appalled, haha.

I think Anneliese Isabelle is nice, even though I dislike Isabelle.

There was a girl on wife swap the other night named Hunter. She was cute, but the name made me ill. Made me even more ill that her sisters name was Tuesday.

I like Anneliese Isabelle(although I like Isabella better, but your right, it doesn't sound good together)

They shocked me. Tuesday grew on me, though I still think it's weird. lol

I can NOT figure out the recent sudden spike in Anneliese interest. What an abominable name — and I LOVE the name Anne. And even Liesl, maybe. Just... no. There are so many nice German names, why this one?

Then again, I've read that parents today are far more keen on the vowels than previous generations, especially for girls, and Anneliese boasts 5 vowels to its 3 consonants.

Ah, well. Suppose it's better than Annieleesa or whatever that once cropped up in discussion here. Maybe Anneliese's popularity spike will mean more people spell it correctly in the wide, real world. Here's to hoping.

Blah. I've met a girl named Hunter... she was a little bitch.

I don't like Anneliese, but I would pick a middle name without an S in it.

Anneliese Elisabeth sounds lovely.
Anneliese Isabelle is too much.

Anneliese Giselle
Anneliese Genevieve
Anneliese Josephine/Josefina
Anneliese Camilla
Anneliese Felicity
Anneliese Marielle
Anneliese Mariella
Anneliese Marianna

i agree with you about not liking Isabella, which is bizarre because usually I love frilly names, and Isabella is the epitome of frilly.

Well, Liese, Elizabeth, and Isabelle are all forms of the same name, so no and no. It would be like naming your kid Annamaria Marie.

I don't know... in my mind (whether I'm right or not) the "liese" part of Anneliese is already related to Elisabeth. Some people reckon Isabel is a Spanish variant of Elisabeth although I'm not sure if it is.... therefore... both names seem kind of redundant to me.

I think it would sound great with any one-syllable middle name, or some two-syllable middle names, but since both of those are similar in length to anneliese, they're not flowing as well. Definitely not destined to be a middle name - it's a beautiful name!

I love Hunter for a boy, not too sure about on a girl.

However, are you sure her name was actually Hunter, and it wasn't "Baby Girl Hunter" in the way you'd say "Baby Girl Smith" or "Baby Girl Brown" before you knew the first name?

To your second part, I'm not a fan of Anneliese in general, no matter the middle name.
