Are there any names that are also names of US states that you like?

The only one I can think of that I like is Georgia, and I think that is because it was definitely a name before it was a state. Same with Virginia although I don't like it. I met a kid named New Jersey once, I think that was going a little far.

So WDYT? Any good state names? Avoid them altogether?

We couldn't come up with a name throughout this pregnancy, finally baby was 4 days old and we decided she needed a name.

Orginally I wanted something that included Elliot as its a family name and we don't plan on having anymore children (and obviously have not had boys) and really loved the name Adelle. SO didn't like it as much but we agreed on Addie, both girls liked it as well.

So we settled on

Addison Elliot Rose.

He got his name, we got Addie, Elliot and Rose are for our grandparents.

Its pretty popular at the moment :( But he wouldn't budge on Adelle:(

So if any of you are in November or December due date community you know my story... my waters have been broken for 60+ hours now and we are awaiting the arrival of our sweet baby girl. (Don't worry everyone is perfectly healthy, and things are starting to move along!)

Because of such a long wait we've decided we may want to change her middle name to something different...and more appropriate ;)

Her first name is going to be Lilliana (pronounced Lily-on-ah) her middle name was/or may still be Elizabeth (depending on if we find something else we like), and our last name is English.

SO what I'm looking for are names that mean something along the lines of waiting, patience, suspense, great deal of time, anticipation...you get the point.

So spam me with some names :)

I had dream last night where I met a cute little girl that lived in a room above mine, connected through a glass. She was about 8 years old, blond, brown eyes, with hippie-chic parents and a fantastic collection of Vintage Rock CD's, that you definitely wouldn't expect to see in a child's bedroom.

We communicated through the glass window by raising notebooks with messages on them, and that's how I learned her name was Mania.

At first, I thought it was read MAHN-yah, as there are legit italian names as Tania, Vania, Dania, etc, but then I heard her saying it and it was Mah-NEE-ah, just like the italian word "mania", meaning, well, mania in english.

Obviously it would be cruel to use it, but I can't help liking it! :)

WDYT?

This probably has been asked plenty of times, but if you've been pregnant, did you ever keep names secret? I mean, isn't that safe?

Also.. my cousin just found out she is having a girl and is naming her Pearl. Middle name unknown. Don't know if I like it or not, but it doesn't matter.
