New neighbors....

Our new neighbors have 2 little girls. The 7 year old is Tiphany-they introduced her as "Tiffany, spelled with PH not F's."   And  the 4 year old was introduced as "Serendipity, like the movie."  It made me wonder if they ALWAYS introduce the kids this way.

Ok then.   I think it's a bit much but to each his own I suppose. WDYT?

just a few names i have been pondering:

all of the above would have my surname as the middle name.

all of the above would have michael as the middle name

can't seem to think of more boy names that are sweet but not too "bronx mowgli"-ish.  i like classic names, especially for boys, but i don't want anything too stiff, you know? any thoughts?

i know a few people with the name allen/alan. all of the ones named alan happen to be jewish and all of the ones who spell it allen, aren't jewish. is this just a strange coincidence? for example, none of the guys named "owen" that i know are irish, but i do know an "eoin" who is irish. is there some sort of similar connection with judaism when it comes to the name alan?

ps: i know this is worded so awkwardly. i didn't know how else to say it.
