Her name is Gia Zavala.

The mn is pretty odd, but compared to what gwen stefani called her child, this name is fabulous.

some names:

Spencer (middle name James) - friend since I was two and his family moved in, when we were little i thought he had such a strange, unique name. i still don't know any other spencers, but i know its not a strange name really. he has a younger sister named Emma (mn Kathleen) which wasnt as popular sixteen years ago as it is now.

Henrietta - suggested baby name by a friend, the nicknames we suggested to her were Ettie and Etta ( i like etta better), i think its an ok name.

Latimer - best friends middle name (first name is Clara) its a family surname, but she says she may name a boy that. I think i prefer it for a girl.

Evalline - another surname turned name, it looks like a fancy spelling of Evelyn, but it was said ev-uhh-line, i really really like this.

since I named my daughter after a city, I decided any future children I had would be named accordingly.

then I realized the only boy name I liked was "paris" and "ellis", but I'm not so much a fan of boy names that could be girl names.

I was going to name my 2 year old "harlow" (long before nicole richie okay) but her dad was all "hell no" about it.  so I think I'd use harlow lauren elizabeth as my next girl, but for a boy I wanted something unsual.  like bristol, to paint a picture.

what are your favorite city names?

First off, I heard the name McKenna today on a video for the Star Tribune, it was the male commenter's name.
The reason I am posting here though is I remember doing a project in 7th grade on President John Tyler and that he had 15 children.  I thought I'd post the names here and then also some birth announcements.

John Tyler had eight children with his first wife Letitia Christian Tyler:
Mary
Robert
John
Letitia
Elizabeth
Anne Contesse
Alice
Tazewell
He had seven children with his second wife Julia Gardiner:
David Gardiner
John Alexander
Julia Gardiner
Lachlan
Lyon Gardiner
Robert Fitzwalter
Pearl

Birth Announcements:
Katelyn Desiree' Dawn
Brenna Jo
Eli James
Sienna Rae
Brayden Lee
Elizabeth Anne

yes, i suppose when i post name ideas, i am looking for a little feedback.

HOWEVER.

i don't really see any reason for the total bitch comments.
i would never downright insult anyone's name ideas,
and believe me, there are some pretty HIDEOUS ones on here.

i'm sure my pointing out how bad the names are
is not going to change the fact that whoever posted them clearly likes them,
quite a lot, in fact, if they are actually considering them for a child.

just comment on the names you like
and give CONSTRUCTIVE feedback
on whether you think names will not age well
or are too popular.

any other opinions
("you're clearly a teenager because of your taste in names")
("you spelled this wrong.")
("these names are awful.") etc.
are completely useless
and are only made by people who feel better about themselves
by being bitches to others.

thanks.

2. Bellatrix - Was this name invented by J.K Rowling for Harry Potter or was it a legit name before that? And do you like it?

I really dislike Serenity, and its seems to be getting more popular. I liked the movie and everything, so that might be where peopple are getting it from, but it sounds like a stripper name. Jesse James is terrible. Ava Noelle is probably the best one there.

My husband and i are expecting our second daughter in November. We have picked out the name Isabella but can't seem to find a middle name to go with it. Our first daughter's name is Liliana Pearl. I'd really like a middle name that gives the name the same flow, if you know what i mean. Our last name starts with Sh and ends in -man and is three syllables long. Any suggestions are welcome because i am so lost and my husband will be fine with whatever it is as long as it's not Ann or Diane. (His grandmother's and mother's names)

As we all know, Victorian names are 'in' right now... so I thought I'd post a bunch of names of actual Victorians from the my family tree.

Lots of names from the 19th century. )

WDYT.

I know it's kind of campy but i love it.

Mabel

Meaning: My Beautiful One

If it makes any difference with a sibset.
The brother would be Van.

Just thought I'd mention we're having a BOY and his name is Oliver. :)
I had posted a lot asking opinions on girl's names. We never did come up with one, so I'm really glad I don't have to worry about it!

As I was cruising through the new babynames.com's baby name book last night (36 weeks and still NO name! Eeek!) I decided to peek ahead to my name and see what rating it had, and what characteristics people associated with it. When I did I thought to myself just how little I ever really think about my own name. How little role I feel it plays as part of who I am and what I think of myself. Then I got to thinking of how people go about picking names today and how much thought and research we put into picking names for our children. "What will people think of him with this name? Will he get teased? Does it sound tough/pretty/unique enough? Will it hinder him career wise one day?" As I put all of this same thought into picking my own son's name, it just seemed silly to me that I never really pay much mind to my own name and I never really have.

So I'm curious, what is your name? Has it played a major role in your life? Can you attribute any painful/good memories to your name? Were you teased because of it? Has it hindered you as an adult or in trying to find employment? Tell me all about your name and how you feel about it!

My name is Paula. I was only slightly teased for it when I was little, being called "Polly Pocket" or "Paula Abdul". I had a boyfriend tell me he thought it was an "old lady's name", and I can only assume it wasn't that popular the year or surrounding years I was born ('86) because I've only ever met two Paula's my entire life. I don't really love it or hate it. I have to say I'm pretty indifferent to it.

Hey everyone! I just joined this community because I am having so much trouble picking out a name for my son. I seriously have NO CLUE on a first name, the only name I've continually liked throughout my pregnancy for a boy is Jack, but my (and the baby's) last name is Jackson, so that doesn't exactly work! I'm 36 weeks tommorow (due Sept 20th), so baby really really needs a name. I have a middle name picked out, he's being named after a very close friend of mine who recently passed away so that's non-negociable. Anyway, after skimming through this community it seems you ladies have some pretty good names (many that I would never have thought of, thanks to preggo-brain syndrome).

So I ask you to fill in the blank ___________David Jackson

TYI!

Edit: I lean a bit more towards traditional names given my last name, I think it needs a "strong" name to carry it. But I do like uncommon names too! As long as they don't sound to weird with Jackson...

Sorry this is so long I still can't do an LJ cut. It somehow always goes wrong :S

Anyway, I met a woman today when I was at the park with Ashton. She was with three boys she was calling Andy, Danny & Ashy and a girl called Addy. She said she has a total of 17 kids. So obviously I asked her their names etc.

So these are the names, ages & nicknames of her children.

Alison Lorraine, 28  (Alice)
Amber Louise,   26  (Lou)
Adrienne Rose, 21  (Rennie)
Autumn Nicole, 18  (Nikki)
Annah Gabreyella, 16  (Annie)
Amy Mariah, 14  (Aims)          [Abby's twin]
Abbygale Noelle, 14  (Abby)          [Amy's twin]
Alexis Madysn, 10  (Lexi)
Alyssa Lillyhan, 6  (Ally)
Addysin McKinzey, 3  (Addy)          [Asher & Aidan's Triplet ]

Anthony Jonathan, 25 (Johnny)
Adam Nicholas, 19  (Cole)
Alexhander Joshua, 13  (Alex)
Aaron Tucker, 8  (Azza)
Andrew Finnley, 5  (Finn)
Asher Ryan, 3  (Ashy)          [Addysin & Aidan's triplet ]
Aidan Reese, 3  (Danny)          [Addysin & Asher's triplet ]

I think it's interesting how her taste changed from Alison, Amber & Anthony to Addison & Aiden and how the spellings become more unique as she gets older.  WDYT?

A baby boy from the Meade County Fair Baby Contest.

Aleczander.

I don't know where to begin....
[identity profile] chillinbabejodi.livejournal.com

This is probably a weird post but I'm curious..

What do you think of the names teenage mothers give to their child(ren)?
Do you think it's possible to tell wether or not a baby was born to a teenager by his/her name?
What names have teenagers you know given to their children? Are they all Aiden/Hayden/Braedens & Addison/Madisons ?
