I work in a daycare.  These are the kids in my room (2.5-3.5)

Reagan
Emily
Makayla
Samantha
Andrea
Camryn

Samuel
Cayden
Joey
William

And some others kids from the daycare (siblings are grouped):

The rest )

Typical trendy/popular names for these age groups.

Maybe it's because he's a freaking adorable kid, but the name Cayden is growing on me. O_O I know, I know.  You could alway call him Cade for short?

I'm trying to find some new boy names that my husband will like that go with the middle name Admiel so am coming here for some inspiration as I find it hard to find names that appeal to him. I've tried nymbler, but it's suggestions weren't of much help.

He likes the name Marcus and Gregory, but we can not the former and the latter gives the initals GAG. His favorite girl's name is Mirabelle. He also picked the first names for our two children Owen and Alexandra.

Any ideas welcome for a pairing with Admiel.

Thanks in advance.

Was watching What Not To Wear and saw this amazing gem of a name: Tiphany. It's pronounced Tiffany, but I look at it and want to say something like timpani. It just doesn't look like a name to me.

Hi, all.

The Hubby and I are expecting our first child in September.  And it's a boy whom Hubby has decided to name Jacob.  I prefer Avery but he won't budge so Jacob it is.  We were going to use Avery as a middle name but I want to save it for our second child (boy or girl).

So now we need a middle name that goes with Jacob (last name Tong).  Any suggestions?  (Hubby kind of wants one that starts with E so that his initials will be JET.)

WDYT?

Ornella?

PS - Ornella is the name of a girl born to parents both performing opera for a living.

I've finally found my sister's K5 graduation program! The kids were cute, but some of their names were definitely not. I italicized my little sis, and I've put asterisks next to the names I like (not counting the actual spellings). And for background, these little rugrats were born in 2002-2003. :)

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and my husband and I cannot decide on a name. We're not sure of the gender, because we wanted it to be a surprise.  I really like Kylie Elaine for a girl and Benjamin Cabot or Benjamin Parker for a boy.
What do you guys think?
& feel free to suggest other names :]

Okay, switching to a new book (for now): Here is a list of gems that can be used as names.

I was waiting outside a very popular sushi place today, and I heard a woman calling to her young son a number of times as he kept wandering off. He looked around 3 years old.

I obviously don't know how it was spelled.

But his name sounded like Hayley!

Today I came across a boy called Mully.

Is Mully  a nn for something?
Or is it a 'proper' name?

WDTY?

Also, I'm looking for a middle name for Spencer (boy, last name Abbott)
Any ideas?

TIA :)

I had my baby almost a month ago. We named him Owen Broderic.

For the curious, he weighed 9lbs 13oz and was 21" long.

Good:
Ladies I'm being trained for my new job with (with approx. ages)
-Gina (40ish)
-Lizabeth, no E, nn. Beth (40ish)
-Patricia (40ish)
-Robin (20ish)
-Dawn (25ish)
-Victoria (20ish)
-Rachael, prn. just like Rachel (19)
and we're being trained by Judy (73)
None of those are my favorites, but they're all okay, and certainly better than the rest I'm posting.

Bad:
Today Dawn was all excited about her new godson being born last night. She passed around the picture message she got on her phone with his picture and name, and it's Bryson. I hate it, personally. I had a boyfriend who was a Jr., and his family called him by his middle name to avoid confusion, but it was Brycen which is soo ugly to me that I just called him Hugh, his first name, though that's ugly too, really.

Ugly:
My sister just mentioned the other day that she goes to school with twins, a boy and a girl, their names are Shaquille.
They're both spelled the same. The girl is "Shuh-quill", and the boy is "Shuh-keel" like the basketball guy.
In my mind, that shouldn't be allowed.
