I was waiting outside a very popular sushi place today, and I heard a woman calling to her young son a number of times as he kept wandering off. He looked around 3 years old.

I obviously don't know how it was spelled.

But his name sounded like Hayley!

Maybe his name was Hely? I just read a book with a boy called Hely in it. That was pronounced like Healy, though.

I heard Logan on a girl when I was shopping on the weekend. She was probably 16...I hated it. There are just same names that cannot be for a girl/boy.

Haley is a boys name. Or well, it's unisex. Haley Joel Osment. It's like Ashley.

I'm not surprised that it is a boys' name too, but I am surprised to hear it on a 3 year old boy in 2008 in Australia. It's always used on girls here. Not as bad as if he'd been born in the late 80s though probably.
