My residents
Jul. 9th, 2008 01:46 amI'm a Housing Assistant at my college in Boston, Massachusetts. Here are my current residents. Most were born between 1986-1991, but five are between twenty-five-and thirty-years-old so I've put them at the top of the list. I've bolded names I like. These are all their given names.

Changing YOUR name
Jul. 9th, 2008 12:34 pmI know the majority of posts in here are about what people are naming/planning on naming their children but I am curious about YOUR name!
- What is your name? (first and middle or just first, whatever you want)
- Have you ever changed your name?
- How do you feel about celebrities or anyone in general legally changing their name??
- If you were going to change your name, what would you change it to?
Thoughts on "trendiness"
Jul. 9th, 2008 02:37 pmWhat makes a name "trendy"?
Can a name be trendy without being very common?
Are there certain names you will always think of as "trendy" regardless of their popularity?
Is trendiness necessarily a bad thing?
If your favorite name that you were planning on using suddenly became very trendy, would you be less likely to use it?
What do you think are the trendiest names right now? Do you like these names?
I'm just curious about what you all think :)

Jul. 9th, 2008 05:34 pmWhat do you think of Jefferson as a middle name? It has a special meaning to me, and I like the sound of it, but I don't know if it's too 'last name-y' to use as a middle name.
Some possible first names I have considered with it are Zachariah, Benjamin, James (although I probably wouldn't use that because of the double J thing), and Vincent.
Like/dislike? Any other first name suggestions?

Guilty Pleasures
Jul. 9th, 2008 08:49 pmEveryone's got them. Names that you would really, absolutely use if you were a celebrity, a millionaire, or in some other way not living in the real world. I'm really curious as to what everyone's guilty pleasure names are, and why.
Mine are: ( under the cut. )
I limited myself to five boys and five girls, but if you have more/less, that's cool too.

Thoughts, please
Jul. 9th, 2008 09:01 pmGetting some outside thoughts on these names, order them from 'most like' to 'least like' (either on just the ones you like or all of them). Any comments welcome! ( Read more... )
