Jul. 8th, 2008 07:41 pmGood:
Ladies I'm being trained for my new job with (with approx. ages)
-Gina (40ish)
-Lizabeth, no E, nn. Beth (40ish)
-Patricia (40ish)
-Robin (20ish)
-Dawn (25ish)
-Victoria (20ish)
-Rachael, prn. just like Rachel (19)
and we're being trained by Judy (73)
None of those are my favorites, but they're all okay, and certainly better than the rest I'm posting.
Bad:
Today Dawn was all excited about her new godson being born last night. She passed around the picture message she got on her phone with his picture and name, and it's Bryson. I hate it, personally. I had a boyfriend who was a Jr., and his family called him by his middle name to avoid confusion, but it was Brycen which is soo ugly to me that I just called him Hugh, his first name, though that's ugly too, really.
Ugly:
My sister just mentioned the other day that she goes to school with twins, a boy and a girl, their names are Shaquille.
They're both spelled the same. The girl is "Shuh-quill", and the boy is "Shuh-keel" like the basketball guy.
In my mind, that shouldn't be allowed.

Date: 2008-07-09 12:45 am (UTC)She's not creative enough to make something like that up, my sister. And I... I would never be able to come up with this either, haha, it's too outrageous to be a lie.

Date: 2008-07-09 01:03 am (UTC)And about Bryson... I toyed with that one for a while. I generally like Br- names and I had a wonderful teacher whose surname was Bryson. Then I decided that that's exactly how it should stay: a surname.

Date: 2008-07-09 12:23 pm (UTC)I went to highschool with a brother and sister (don't recall heir siblings names, but if I were similarly atrocious)-- Royal and Royalle.
Raynila.. we, that's just a terrible name anyway. I bed their father's name was Ray.

Date: 2008-07-09 02:08 am (UTC)Seriously?! Okay, for the love of God, how can you be so uncreative as to name your kids the same name?? Gah!
It's kind of like how my aunt Delphine had my cousin Debbie. Her father ran off and later married another woman who had a daughter. Guess what he named her? Debbie! Even though he knew he had another daughter with that name! At least they were only step-sisters, and I don't think they met much, if at all, as my cousin's father was kind of the guy who was like 'No, not my kid, never want anything to do with her' type of deal, I think. But anyway... still.
