Hi, all.

The Hubby and I are expecting our first child in September.  And it's a boy whom Hubby has decided to name Jacob.  I prefer Avery but he won't budge so Jacob it is.  We were going to use Avery as a middle name but I want to save it for our second child (boy or girl).

So now we need a middle name that goes with Jacob (last name Tong).  Any suggestions?  (Hubby kind of wants one that starts with E so that his initials will be JET.)

I like your name choice and your icon. Haha. Ethan is starting to become one of my favorites. I think Jacob Ethan Tong sounds really nice.

Neither Jacob or Ethan made it onto my name list because both are in the top 50 most popular names (I have a common name, and always got tired of not knowing if someone was talking to me or the other Jaymi in my class) The names do sound nice together though.

I am having my first in October, and I am also having a boy. I have decided on Adrian for a first name, but I'm still not sure about the middle name.

My name was in top 50 for my birth year, but it didn't bother me. I think I'm like one of the only people who didn't really mind being one of many or having to spell my name all the time (My name is LindsEy...not Lindsay...not Lyndsey.) I do like the name Adrian, though. That is like the one name that my mom has specifically said she doesn't want us to use because she hated the movie Rocky and she associates it with that. Haha. I don't really have too much concern about names right now anyway. My SO and I have been in an LDR for our entire relationship and are still 3 years away from being SD. Woo!

My first choices for an E name would be Edward, Ethan, Emerson or Evan.

There's also Edgar, although I'm not a fan of the name.

Just wanted to say that my family has done something I think is sort of cool with the middle names.

My grandmother is Virginia Susan
My mom is Susan Kathryn
I am Katherine Jill (she liked my spelling better)
and my sister is Jill Elise

The trend was broken when my mom just couldn't give up Grace as a first name for my youngest sister...but I've taken her middle name, Claire, and used it as my oldest daughter's middle name. So, I don't think that if you wanted to use Avery for a middle name it would mean you couldn't use it as a first name for a second child. :)

I like:
Jacob Evan
Jacob Eric
Jacob Eli
Jacob Elliot

Kinda stinks that he won't budge from Jacob. :/
