What do you think of the name Olesya?

I was skimming around on ONTD, and noticed one of the actresses with this name. I searched for it a bit online, but have only come up with tiny bits of information. It's other form can be Olesia, and they're both pronounced oh-lees-yah (or that's what I've been told). I think it's kind of cute, and unique.

Does anyone have any information on the name?
I hear it might be Russian? Or Polish?
Any good middle name suggestions?

I will be the first one to admit that I love certain "boy" names on girls and "girl" names on boys. I even like some of the "unisex" names. However....names that people tack an -a or -ett or whatever on to to make it a "girl" name usually irritate me. I worked with a woman named Juanette. There was no reason behind it, her parents thought they made it up.

Today I came across a young lady named Andrewnette Lynay ln. Now her mom's name is Sophia and her dad is Jerry....even her stepdad is a David....no one is named Andrew.

Now, that being said....her sister is named Kashabora.

Please excuse any incoherence or typos or just general weirdness in this. My question is legit, but I'm hopped up on painkillers.

What do you think of the name Cole? I don't know Charmed was ever big enough that people would make that immediate connection, and I can't think of any pop culture references. There is of course coal, which isn't the best connotation but eh.

Now, what about Kole? I'm not usually big on changing spellings, but I have a reason for this one as opposed to just wanting to be creative.

I'm not planning on having kids for a very long time. When my little brother (Ross) was born, my mom said that she really liked the name Cole, but couldn't use it because our last name begins with Kole-.

So, flash forward to the hypothetical future. I'd like to get married before I have kids, and unless my hypothetical future husband has a really horrible last name or one that doesn't sound good with Hannah, I'll be taking his.
I like the name Cole, but not enough to use as a first name. I know it's not uncommon for children to have their mothers maiden names as middle names.

So, do you think Kole as a middle name would work, especially when the spelling would have significance and not just be spelt that way on a whim? It would probably be paired with Andrew.

Cheryl Wray (Salt of the rap group Salt-n-Pepa) has two children, one of whom is named Chapele (prn. Sha-pell, like the comedian Dave Chapelle). his nickname is Pele/Pelie (prn. Pell-ee)... i'm not a fan of the nickname, but the name itself isn't bad. what do you think?

My hubby and I are going to start trying for our first baby next month. It could take a while, of course, but I'm very excited.

As of today, our top boys name is Conrad and our top girls name is Eloise or Eleanor. Middle names would be family names (Jacob, Joseph, Todd, Tanner for a boy or Mary, Alice or Rose for a girl). Our last name is pronounced Loo.

Conrad Jacob Loo...
Eloise Mary Loo...

It's fun to think about baby names when you might actually have a baby in the near future!

If you could change your name for one day, what name would you choose to feel sexy? :)

And what names do you consider attractive for a partner?

I was reading the local newspaper the other day about a woman who was talking about healthcare in the region - she was about to have her seventh child! The interesting thing? All of the children (I assume the pattern will continue onto baby #7) have been named in alphabetical order!

Anastacia
Beatrice
Cecilia
Dominic
Edward
Francis
G...

What do you think about the alphabet pattern? I think it's a little over the top myself, but the sib names go really well together. If I had to guess, I reckon the baby will be called George if a boy, or Georgia/Genevieve if a girl.

If you were naming A-G yourself, what would you name? (I'll leave the sex to you!)

I'd have:
Asher
Benjamin
Caitlin
Dominic
Evan
Francesca
Georgia

This may be a little bit off topic (and some may find this very inappropriate)... but is anyone else's freakishly accurate?

And for some odd reason, this is actually making me DOUBT some of my name choices!
