Cheryl Wray (Salt of the rap group Salt-n-Pepa) has two children, one of whom is named Chapele (prn. Sha-pell, like the comedian Dave Chapelle). his nickname is Pele/Pelie (prn. Pell-ee)... i'm not a fan of the nickname, but the name itself isn't bad. what do you think?

Chapele looks too much like it's mispelled.
I would have gone with Chapelle, or Chapel.
I can see why they're not using Chap for a nickname, but Pel/Pellie is pretty awful. I'd call him Pep (not that that's any better)

i thought it looks misspelled, too. Chapel i would want to say "Chap-l" like a church. i think Chapelle is probably the best spelling for it, even though you'll run into people who say it like "Chapel" anyway lol.

Haha yep. No one could get away with that name in Australia now, it was huge.
