Oct. 17th, 2007 03:40 pmPlease excuse any incoherence or typos or just general weirdness in this. My question is legit, but I'm hopped up on painkillers.
What do you think of the name Cole? I don't know Charmed was ever big enough that people would make that immediate connection, and I can't think of any pop culture references. There is of course coal, which isn't the best connotation but eh.
Now, what about Kole? I'm not usually big on changing spellings, but I have a reason for this one as opposed to just wanting to be creative.
I'm not planning on having kids for a very long time. When my little brother (Ross) was born, my mom said that she really liked the name Cole, but couldn't use it because our last name begins with Kole-.
So, flash forward to the hypothetical future. I'd like to get married before I have kids, and unless my hypothetical future husband has a really horrible last name or one that doesn't sound good with Hannah, I'll be taking his.
I like the name Cole, but not enough to use as a first name. I know it's not uncommon for children to have their mothers maiden names as middle names.
So, do you think Kole as a middle name would work, especially when the spelling would have significance and not just be spelt that way on a whim? It would probably be paired with Andrew.
