What do you think of the name Islington for a girl?

Do you think she would be saddled with the nickname Izzy?

I love the names Annabelle/Annabella.
However, I think Annabella seems kind of long.
So I would definitely go with Annabelle.

I hate Anna as a nickname. Do you think Bella would work for Annabelle?
I love Bella on its own but it does seem like more of a nickname.

Paris Bennett, from season 5 of American Idol, gave birth yesterday.

She had a baby girl, whose name is Egypt.

WDYT?

I kind of like it, although I tend to judge names like this differently depending on what kind of middle name is used (if any), and the article didn't list that.

While I am only a little over 5 weeks pregnant, we are already looking at baby names. We have really decided that if we have a boy his name will be Marcus Theodore. Right now the girl name that I like the best is Brooklyn Marie. What do you think?

sibset.

I had my name list in a word document on my computer and I have just discovered that it has randomly dissapeared...
So I have rewritten my name list.
Some of them I obviously wouldn't use together (like Mark and Marcus).
Also some of them I wouldn't use at all unless they are a lot less popular when I have kids than they are now (like Isabella and Benjamin).
Just so you know I'm English :)

the names... )

Please give me suggestions on what other names I might like.
Also, feel free to let me know what you think of the names.

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciated the help with the names I used this morning. I have a new updated list, and would like your feedback on these names as well. Thanks again, you have all been very helpful.

Boy's name: Marcus Theodore. This name is not negotiable. My dh's uncle was named Marcus and died the day he was born. Theodore is his father's name and also my dh's middle name. It's a done deal.

Girl's names: Brooklyn Marie. I like the nickname Brooke, and Marie is a family name. Not just using it as a filler.

Lindsey May. For some reason this name just popped into my head today. May is also a family name, but would be open to suggestions as to a different middle name.

Peyton Lee. I know this name is very trendy and whatnot, I just like the way it sounds together.

At this point, I am really up in the air about Brooklyn and Lindsey. I really like both names.

do you consider harper to be a name for a girl or a boy?

and...
i know they're fairly different, but amelia or eleanor?
[identity profile] laminy.livejournal.com
I am friends with a Jeremie, and I also know a Justyn (no, this is not a sibset). Both of whom are around twenty, so they're not new trendy spellings. So community, I want to know which you think is worse: the unneeded, randomly thrown in Y, which is obviously growing in popularity, or the replacing of a perfectly good Y with an IE?

Does your opinion change based on whether it's a boy or girl with the new spelling? In these cases, I think both of the spellings make the names look like they're supposed to be some trendy form of feminizing the name, but they are both boys. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with just plain ole Jeremy and Justin.

DH decided to suddenly nix his two top choices: Serena and Sophia

Now he's in love with Olivia

Any ideas for middle names?
