I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciated the help with the names I used this morning. I have a new updated list, and would like your feedback on these names as well. Thanks again, you have all been very helpful.

Boy's name: Marcus Theodore. This name is not negotiable. My dh's uncle was named Marcus and died the day he was born. Theodore is his father's name and also my dh's middle name. It's a done deal.

Girl's names: Brooklyn Marie. I like the nickname Brooke, and Marie is a family name. Not just using it as a filler.

Lindsey May. For some reason this name just popped into my head today. May is also a family name, but would be open to suggestions as to a different middle name.

Peyton Lee. I know this name is very trendy and whatnot, I just like the way it sounds together.

At this point, I am really up in the air about Brooklyn and Lindsey. I really like both names.

I quite like Marcus Theodore--it sounds very classic without being old-fashioned and there are lots of nicknames that you could use.

As for the girls names, I think I like Lindsey May the best. I like how Lindsey sounds, and I like that May is a family name. I also somewhat like Brooklyn Marie. I think that Brooke is a great nickname and if Marie sounds good with it. I am not as fond of Peyton Lee. But the two names sound really good together, even if I'm not a fan of the name Peyton.

I think that they are all pretty good options, really. There are none I hate, or even strongly dislike.

I like Lindsey May a lot. I like Brooke, but I think Brooklyn sounds kind of trashy. Not huge on Peyton, but I don't hate it. Marcus Theodore is a nice name. Not my style, but I love family names.

My sister is Brooklyn (she's 24 so was named a long time before the trend!). I call her Brook (without the e). I actually hate the name, but that's just my opinion. I'd pick Lindsey out of your list.

I love the meaning behind Marcus Theodore and its a nice name too :)

Lindsey May is my favorite. I like the spelling of Lindsey as well. My best friend in first grade was called Lindsey and she was a beautiful, smart kid who moved away after second grade :(

Marcus Theodore: I like it, but I think Marcus needs a nickname. It doesn't sound right on a little boy. I also think Theodore Marcus would flow better.

Brooklyn Marie: I like Brook(e) okay, but Brooklyn is very trailer-trash, IMO. Marie is boring but alright.

Lindsey May: Lindsey seems very dated to me, and I don't like the sound. I don't mind May with the right first name, but I don't think this is it.

Peyton Lee: Peyton is a boys' name to me, and I won't be the only one who thinks so. Especially with that middle. Peyton Leigh would make for less confusion, but I still don't like it.

I still think that it would sound better as Theodore Marcus, but I don't actually have any problems with Marcus Theodore.

Since Brooke is actually a legit name all on its own, and Brooklyn is so trendy and so trashy sounding, why not just go with Brooke? Odds are, if you like the name Brooke now, that's what she'd end up being called. I like Peyton the most.

I really like Marcus Theodore a whoooole lot, which is funny given how much I don't think any of the girls' names live up to it. Peyton is the WORST name on the planet, and the others have this deflated balloon feeling, like a person who's lost her oomph.

i like the boy's name. i also like marco and theo.

i don't like any of the girls' names though. brooklyn is soo trendy and screams '00. why not go with brooke? lindsey is kind of boring to me, but it goes well with may. i'd spell it mae though.

i know a lindsey and her middle name is michelle. also, lindsay lohan's middle name was morgan, i believe, before she changed it.
