Has your SO ever been stuck on a name that you've absolutely hated?

Example: My boyfriend and his brothers all have names that start with "J" (Jesse, Jerome, and Jonas). He has decided should he ever reproduce, his kids will also have J names. The two top choices:

Jesus (not with a soft J sound but Jee-sus)
Jedi

And no, he's not kidding.

Any takers?

What would you say are the top three most absurdly popular names right now, for both boys and girls?

Hey! I have been a long time lurker here for a while, but haven't really posted anything.
After we(my fiancee and I) get married in less than a month, we will be TTC and this community will REALLY come in handy.

However, that is not the point right now.
Again, I am getting married in less than a month and I want to change my middle name. So, I need help! Poll Time!

[Poll #1166830]

For me the answer is yes and no. If its a name that I've liked for awhile then usually no. For instance, Max and Oliver are both on my short list for boys and I don't think they'll be moving anytime soon, even though they are both becoming more popular. Also, my favorite girl's name is Catherine and thats been popular for forever, pretty much. However, everytime I hear the name "Brayden" I like it even less. I never liked it to begin with, but now I LOATHE it.

a frequent customer at my job and his wife are expecting their first child this summer. his name is something pretty common and simple, Edward, and his wife's name is the same, Joanne. i asked him if they had come up with any names for their daughter... he said that their number one pick is Sabina.

i'm not really a fan of it. does anyone have any background info on it?

Names heard at the football today:

Angus
Charlie
Kylan / Kilan / Kielan / Kailan (not sure how to spell it)

Zoey (how it was spelled on her jacket)
Ella
Georgia

It's good to hear some nice names for once. Except for Kylan... but you have to expect one kre8tyve name in the world we live in today...

We got the cat in the below post.

She's already named (which i think is rubbish - but she's 8 months old and has been used to her name so i'd rather not change it)

Her name is Timba WDYT?
