Hm. I've always liked Simone, but it's not a name i'd ever use. Mathilde however just makes me want to say Matilda! It goes together well though i think! - but it'd be better if it was Matilda!

I love Simone as a middle name; it goes with everything!
I like Matilda but my husband only likes Mathilde and it has grown on me. I would use Tilly as a nick name.

I like the name Simon for a boy, which would usually make me dislike a name like Simone but I actually really like it.
I think it's very pretty.

I'm not a fan of Mathilde though, I prefer Matilda.
Mathilde is one of those names I just never quite 'got'. Like Peyton or Matheus.

I love love love the spelling of Mathilde! (Although I think we pronouce it slightly differently.) Either way Mathilde is top name on our girls list! :)
Simone on the other hand, I don't like. I think it is because I really like Simon as a boy's name and so Simone sounds really masculine to me. I don't think they flow particulary well.

If it was Matilda, I'd say yes. But I'm not a fan of the spelling or the pronunciation of Mathilde. It seems way too old school German for my tastes.

It's French AND German and my family is actually German and my husband was born in Montreal which is part of why I like the name.

It's nice, but it's SO French. Not that French is bad, it's just... if you're not French, it's kind of weird. Like naming your kid Alessandro Gianni if you're not Italian, or something. Just my opinion. :-\
