My-ev. He said he heard it pronounced that way by someone who uses the name in an online game he was playing. I've told him over and over that she was pronouncing it wrong and so is he, but he doesn't care and won't pronounce it correctly. I refuse to name my hypothetical daughter something and then pronounce it incorrectly - that irritates me. And I like the real pronunciation! So we can't use it.
i like maeve. on arrested development there's a character whose name is maeve, but she goes by maybe (i think she spells it differently, but i'm not sure how)
