We know a couple naming their daughter Sailor Grace Anderson.

I sort of like it. The combo, but maybe not Sailor on it's own.
WDYT?

Interesting names from my classes:

Maryum, Harmony-Ann, Geraldine, Lilee, Ruta.

I don't think Lilee is her real name. I think her real name is really hard to pronounce so that's like her pseudonym which made me think about the Starbucks post the other day. Like, why wouldn't she just be Lily. Because people won't know her real name and won't know how to spell her "nickname".

Also, I want to know what Ruta's origin is.

Sorry if this has already been posted.

Oh to be a celebrity! I think they must have an obligation to give their child the craziest name possible.

EDIT: I dd not create this list myself! It was from a program on VH1 that aired a while ago. I just copied the info here from the VH1 website.

My brother's girlfriend wants to name her baby (long story) Persephone. Um...okay...

Anyway, she set on Persephone at this point but is looking for middle names still. Obviously she likes out-there names but she wants something the kid can fall back on if she grows up and hates Persephone. My suggestion was Persephone Jade.

The baby has a big sis named Ariel for those that like to know that sort of thing.
Right now the last name is Hall, but that is likely to change, my brother is talking about adopting his GF's babies if/when they get married. (part of the long story)

A sibset I saw on a tax return today:

Leanne
Taylor
Michelle
Juliana

Their parents names are Michael and Billie Jo.

To me, Taylor seems like the odd one out. I think the others sound good together.

So we're getting a puppy soon and my husband is the type who wants to give a dog a thing name. I am the type who wants to give a dog a person name.

And now I am trying to find names that fit both of these criteria. So far I've thought of names like Olive and Willow and Daisy.

Any other suggestions? I think I am loving Olive, but I'd like to have a fallback list in case my husband hates Olive.

(It's a girl dog and will be a yellow lab, if that matters to you).

What do you think of Rory for a boy?

Is it better as Rory or Ruari? Ruari is the more traditional gaelic way.
