What's a good middle name for Eleanor?
It can't start with E or L and a Hebrew name is a big plus (ie the English version of a Hebrew name for example Elizabeth is Elisheva in Hebrew, or Eleanor is Elinor in Hebrew and means "my light is God"). I think 2 syllables would work best since Eleanor has 3.

I'm in nursing school, and the other day at the hospital, I saw two employees with totally normal names but spelled completely ridiculously.

Stacye
and
Mellany

The second one I thought was a totally different name, and I sat there looking at the schedule where it was written thinking it was Muh-LAN-ny or something until it hit me that it was Melanie. I think these kinds of spellings are totally pointless and cause unnecessary confusion for these people, probably for their entire lives.

And in other news, my best friend just found out she's pregnant so when she gets around to picking names, I'm sure I'll be posting them here.

a bit More randomness from thinkbabynames.com travels.

Alaula- sunrise
Taree- bending branch
Availia- supposedly form of ophelia
Zia- light, splendor,
Nerene
Aberdeen- place in scotland
Romy- dew of the sea
Norell- means from the north
Berit
Damia-soul
Pamina- character in mozart's 'the magic fluit'
Dulcinea- Don Quixote's name for his idealized lady.

I KIND of like Aberdeen a little, and possibly  Pamina but they're a bit out there. Pamina could be nn Pam... i'd have to look into the backstory more.

and

Catherine Sophia Stoltz

what do you guys think of each of those names? Why do you like them? Which one do you like best? Why you hate them? etc.

Thanks a bunch!

What does everyone think of the name Kelly for a boy?

I knew two guys with this name and have nice/happy memories of both.

One was my senior economics teacher who I had a crush on. The other was in the kindergarden group when I worked daycare; he spelt his Kele though.

Good middle names for Rosemary?  I kind of like Lynn, but I think that might be too blah.
