Bad: (which is actually a blessing in disguise)
My mom passed last night, peacefully, in her sleep around 8:15 PM. I will miss her every single day. She was my hero, and it is hard to grasp the fact that she is, indeed, GONE.

Good: (and this is very, VERY good)
Dan and I found out on Valentine's day that: WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!!!

So, yes. Like I said, the ULTIMATE good vs. bad. But when you think about it, it's all good, because she was in so much pain, and suffering so much...I'm relieved that she passed. She's in a better place, now, and she will never feel that kind of pain again.

So, this post is in memory of my mother, without whom I would not be half the woman I am today. I love you, Mommy. Rest in peace.

**EDIT** (For this community only.)
We have chosen to name the baby after my mom, whose name was Cindy, and my grandmother, whose name was Bernice. Initials will be C.B.D.

For a boy, we have chosen the first name Cohen.
For a girl, we have chosen the first name Carys.

Any ideas for B middle names to go with either of those? Only name that is off limits is Benjamin. My sister is planning to name her first-born son Benjamin, and has been for quite a long time. I don't want to take that away from her. (My religion doesn't allow the repeating of names among living relatives.)

Wow.

Watching "Bringing Home Baby" (for the names, yes) and the couple named their son "Devin" - but guess how they spelt it....?

Devyin

WTF kind of spelling is that? It doesn't even make sense.

The first name of one of my female professors is Colclough. She pronounces it sort of like "COKE-lee". It looks Irish or Gaelic to me, but I haven't been able to find out. What do you think? I like it.

Today while watching Opera I fell in love with a name. One of her guests was named Sara Kate. I'm really a fan of double first names for some reason. and I LOVE this name! I was thinking Sara Kathryn (since my name is Kathryn) and calling her Sara Kate. What do you think?

WDYT
