What's a good middle name for Eleanor?
It can't start with E or L and a Hebrew name is a big plus (ie the English version of a Hebrew name for example Elizabeth is Elisheva in Hebrew, or Eleanor is Elinor in Hebrew and means "my light is God"). I think 2 syllables would work best since Eleanor has 3.

Hm. Personally I would go for a single syllable name, but I just like short names in general. I think Selah is a beautiful Hebrew name, as is Sharon. This site http://www.thinkbabynames.com/search/0/hebrew has a lot of options for you to look at. HTH

My middle name is Grace. (And my first name is Eleanor.) My surname is two syllables and I think it has a nice rhythm.

I can't help much on this one - I keep getting the name "Rigby" stuck in my head from the Beatles song "Eleanor Rigby" (VERY beautiful song, by the way)...but yeah...nothing will let that name budge from my head.

I knew a nice girl when I went to camp named Aviva. Maybe Eleanor Aviva?

we've decided to name our daughter Eleanor (after some back & forth, maybe you remember from my posts - or not. lol)

we're debating btw Eleanor Margaret (Margaret being my grandma's name)
and Eleanor Elizabeth (his mom's name, though that's not even why he likes it) - so I thought it was funny you brought up both those names in this post.

but since you are not us, that's probably not so much helpful. lol

um how about:

Eleanor Adana
Eleanor Alannah
Eleanor Ioanna
Eleanor Keturah
Eleanor Mattea
Eleanor Moriah
Eleanor Naomi
Eleanor Samantha
Eleanor Shavonne/Siobhan
Eleanor Shoshana
Eleanor Simone

all the mn's taken from that thinkbabynames Hebrew name list. those were just the ones I thought sounded nice.

and now I'm considering Siobhan too ;p

thanks :)

I feel the same way about the double E. and it would make her initials EEB, as in rhymes with Dweeb or something lol (I'm not all THAT worried about that part, but it just popped into my mind.)

I really like the way Eleanor Simone sounds and am now also considering Eleanor Siobhan for us (it has a similar ring to it.)

haha I think up until it's on the birth certificate it could be tentative. we thought we knew what we wanted to name this one for quite a few months and it changed with less than two to go. ;p
