Alaula- sunrise
Taree- bending branch
Availia- supposedly form of ophelia
Zia- light, splendor,
Nerene
Aberdeen- place in scotland
Romy- dew of the sea
Norell- means from the north
Berit
Damia-soul
Pamina- character in mozart's 'the magic fluit'
Dulcinea- Don Quixote's name for his idealized lady.
I KIND of like Aberdeen a little, and possibly Pamina but they're a bit out there. Pamina could be nn Pam... i'd have to look into the backstory more.

Date: 2007-02-19 07:49 pm (UTC)Aberdeen makes me think of the town in Washington. It's not a particular nice place... kind of a run-down logging town full of fast food restaurants from what I remember. It was like one giant truck stop. (I'm sure I mostly saw the main roads and not the residential areas which could be lovely...)
Dulcinea is a name that has been high on my list for many, many years, and was even my #1 at one point. I'd easily use it as a mn. I might use it as a fn too, except that I have other favorites now. I did, however, see it used on a tiny Bichon Frise puppy and it was so wonderfully sweet on her, that it makes me what to get a little dog and name it Dulcinea.
Nerene - just don't like the sound
Norell - Wasn't this the name of one of America's Next Top Model's girls, around the 3 or 4th season?
Berit - sounds like a brand-name vacuum cleaner
Damia - Just don't like the sound.
Pamina - Makes me think of a pashmina.

Date: 2007-02-19 08:08 pm (UTC)Taree- bending branch :: Don't like this one - it's just odd
Availia- supposedly form of ophelia :: Love! I think I'd call her Ava for short...It's a gorgeous name!
Zia- light, splendor, :: I dunno...this one's sorta like Zena. I don't think it's appropriate for a name
Nerene :: Nah
Aberdeen- place in scotland :: LOVE this one! I see it as a female anem though...I don't know if it's supposed to be or not. I would probably use Abby as a nickname. I like that nickname, too...so it's good all around.
Romy- dew of the sea :: I never liked this one. It sounds sorta like some greasy guy in a wife-beater tee to me.
Norell- means from the north :: Pretty name - I see it as male. Sounds very...intellectual and clean-cut.
Berit :: Don't like it...
Damia-soul :: Don't like the sound of this one...I don't know why
Pamina- character in mozart's 'the magic fluit' :: This one just sounds odd
Dulcinea- Don Quixote's name for his idealized lady. :: A little too elaborate or excessive for a name unless you're a character in a story, lol
So...I like Aberdeen, Availia, and Norell lots!
