Came across this one on facebook: Emanda.

Eww.

Unless it's some foreign spelling of which I am not aware, that is just ... ugh.

WDYT?

Eventually Zane's parents are going to run out of ideas, and just name the next baby 'Zed'.

In 1998, I found a really good name website. It had so many names, and explained their meaning, had a wav file for their pronunciation, and then it had all these sort of testimonials from people who had that name and what it was like to live with that name, which I found really interesting. You could write your own testimonial about your own name and submit it. Not only that, but it had a rating thing, and a "People who liked this name also liked...." feature, which was really good. Oh and it also had this list of things people could tease about that name!

I haven't seen it in 10 years, although I have searched for it. I am sure it is long gone :(

It was from this site that I learned that somebody with my own name had heard the taunt "I don't dare to look over there because Claire's too big a scare" lol

That is all.

My partner and I were talking about names the other night (a rare occurance) and he didn't like many of my top names at all. The only one we both really agreed on was Isabel/Isabella.

What other names could I suggest to him that you think he might like?

Note: Must flow with his lastname, which sounds like "Simpsons"

So, I was watching Charlotte's Web (actually I was just waiting for the movie I wanted to watch to come on, but whatever) and they mentioned the "name" Aranea (pron. uh-ray-nee-uh).  It is apparently a genus (I think) of spider, which is appropriate since it was the name of a spider in the movie.  What do you think of the name?

Also here are some names of people I had to call for work recently:
Corazon (don't know if this was male or female as I got the answering machine)
Brigid (brigg-id)

I was wondering which one of these names sounded best. I know Kaifu is a bit of a strange middle name but it has a lot of personal significance to us so it's staying.

Lorelei Kaifu Grey
Freya Kaifu Grey
Freja Kaifuh Grey (my husband's half-Danish and prefers this spelling)
Delilah Kaifu Grey
Anastasia Kaifu Grey
Stephanie Kaifu Grey

Also am I the only one who ever starts second guessing name choices even though I was SO CERTAIN I loved all these names? Like:

My baby's going to be born sometime near Halloween (EDD is Oct. 26th) and as Halloween is my favorite holiday, I'm considering making the middle name something related to the holiday. All I've found online are lists of villains from horror movies, which isn't really what I'm looking for, as I despise horror movies.
Anyway...any names you know of, throw them out-we still don't know if it's a boy or girl, so both are welcome! Thanks.

All at Home Depot:

Mariantoinette -all one word. Is that Mary Antoinette, or Marian Toinette, or Marie Antoinette? I just don't know!

Aren (on a guy) -Aaron?

Willa -I think it's cute.

Jennavieve -Love the name, hate the spelling.

WDYT?
