Halloween?

My baby's going to be born sometime near Halloween (EDD is Oct. 26th) and as Halloween is my favorite holiday, I'm considering making the middle name something related to the holiday. All I've found online are lists of villains from horror movies, which isn't really what I'm looking for, as I despise horror movies.
Anyway...any names you know of, throw them out-we still don't know if it's a boy or girl, so both are welcome! Thanks.

Haha, maybe that's kind of a bad association.

Mary and Holly sound more like Christmas names.

You could always browse Goth themed names, like Belladonna, Rasputina or Phoenix.

There's a fairly large list at Alternative baby names (http://www.alternativebabynames.com/index.php?goto=gothic). Name Nerds (http://www.namenerds.com/uucn/goth.html) have a pretty large list too.

Belladonna

I don't think Phoenix is Goth-themed at all. To me, it sounds light and airy, but full of meaning.

Aw, I was born October 4th so Halloween was always a favorite of mine (even though technically it's closer to my sister's birthday- November 8th).

The first thing I thought of was Sabrina (The Teenage Witch, a favorite comic and show of mine back in the day)... and there's also Wendy the good little witch a la Casper the ghost cartoons. Other witches: Winifred, Sarah & Mary (the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus) and Aggie, Gwen, & Marnie (Halloweentown). Those are about the tamest Halloween references I've got.

For boys, I can't think of any really good ideas, other than maybe naming your kid Firefighter or Goblin or Spiderman.

The first thing that I thought of was to pick a name that was from books/movies like Dracula and Frankenstein, since vampires and monsters are common/typical costumes. The names themselves are names that you could have gotten from anywhere, rather than being a name everyone automatically associates with those characters, but could have additional meaning for you because of where they're from.

Some of the names I thought of:

Mina (from Wilhelmina)
Lucy

Jonathan
Quincey
Arthur
Robert
Victor

If you have a book/movie that you like better that could be associated with Halloween costumes, maybe you can take one of the names from that, and not necessarily the main character.

I like the suggestion of Salem. I think as a middle name it could work for either gender, and I actually kind of like it. I think, paired with the right first name, it could really work.

Hazel!

I love the idea of using witchy names from history. All I can think of at the moment are Morgaine or Morgana from Arthurian legends, but I know there are so many good ones out there. There's something dark, interesting, and underrated about them-- but of course it would depend on your orientation and daring.

I'm bummed about the whole "devil" association (not that it would stop me) because I love the name Damien.

I also like Autumn.

Someone mentioned Opal (being the Oct birthstone), love that.
