So, I was watching Charlotte's Web (actually I was just waiting for the movie I wanted to watch to come on, but whatever) and they mentioned the "name" Aranea (pron. uh-ray-nee-uh).  It is apparently a genus (I think) of spider, which is appropriate since it was the name of a spider in the movie.  What do you think of the name?

Corazon (don't know if this was male or female as I got the answering machine)
Brigid (brigg-id)

I usually don't care what a name means, however, I'm so terrified of spiders that I would definitely never use that name. Also, I don't much care for it, but even if I thought it was the prettiest name I had ever heard, I would still never use it because it was related to spiders.

Corazon is Spanish for heart. I think it could be a cute name, especially in a Spanish-speaking family, with Cora as a nickname maybe.

Brigid makes me sad.

Brigid is a legitimate name, and is a Goddess (ETA: and a Saint). I love it, but would be setting her up to have her name mispronounced for all eternity.

Corazon is "heart" in Spanish, which makes me think it's a stupid name. I wouldn't name my kid Foot or Collarbone.

the first thing that popped into my head when i saw corazon was corazon aquino, the first female president of the philippines.

i went to school with a girl named brigid. its always bugged me.
