I'm not pregnant but my husband and I are thinking about a second child.

We have a daughter named Ria Emily. (feel free to share thoughts on that)

We live in India. I am not Indian but my husband is. Our child(ren) will however attend an international school and will likely be surrounded with more foreigners than Indians.

Any ideas on a name for a potential sibling?

Indian names tend to be hard to pronounce for others, especially my family. I don't mind common middle names, but common first names are not an option.

Read the name posted above you, and reply with a name that you think is sort of like it. I don't mean from Katelyn to Caitlin or Maria to Mary, post an actually different name. I'm starting with a girl's name, but you can switch back and forth from girl's to boy's if you think that "Andrew" is the name most like "Catherine" or something like that. I bet we can get from classic to trendy and back again!

Starting with Claire.

What do you think of the name Miley for a little girl? - when you hear it do you think of Miley Cyrus or whatever her name is?

Middle names for Miley? Last name would be Proudlock. (DO YOU KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO FIND NAMES THAT GO WITH PROUDLOCK?! silly SO lol)

I saw/heard an interesting name when I was out shopping today. A keyholder's tag read:

ALEXINA.

She was about 17/18 and a blonde caucasian. It was pronouced pretty much how it looks. (Alex-eena).

Not my style but I thought it was interesting. I'm sure it has a story behind it.

WDTY?

The husband and I actually sat down to figure out what boys names we liked. We both like Nathaniel for a first name but we can't agree on a middle name...

Possible middle names:

Tucker
Austin
Henry
Ryan
Patrick

WDYT?

For a laugh i asked my SO, if he could name a kid, what would he call him/her? his response?

HER - Ruby (no middle name).
HIM - Logan (no middle name).

Hm, impressed, could have been worse. Feel free to join in and ask your SO.
My ex wanted kids called Dante Vincent and Amaya Cloud. Mhm. Men.

My friend is having twins in September. The names she's considering for them are:

India Rachel
Maya Robin

I like Maya Robin, I think it's really cute, though they're neither names that I'd seriously considered before. India Rachel doesn't flow very nicely to my mind, but I'm interested in what you guys think of them? Another name she's considering is Dora (nice, but too much of a 'the Explorer' connotation for me, haha).

My sister and her wife just adopted another of their foster children. Lovely news that I have another niece yes, but what's better, they changed her name. Why is this better you ask? Because, her birth parents had named her Nevaeh! At her adoption they changed her name to Maggie... I don't know if it's just Maggie, I hope not, but even that's better than her original name. At least that's my opinion. Now if they named her Margaret and call her Maggie that's fine too. Margaret is my mother's middle name after all. I'm sure I'll find out when I see them next. But in the mean time, besides being happy there's a new member in our family, and another neglected and abused child has been saved... which are very good reasons to be happy mind you, but also, it just makes it that much happier, I think, for one less 'kr8tyv' el crappo name to be forced upon an innocent child. At least it makes me smile. :)
