My friend is having twins in September. The names she's considering for them are:

India Rachel
Maya Robin

I like Maya Robin, I think it's really cute, though they're neither names that I'd seriously considered before. India Rachel doesn't flow very nicely to my mind, but I'm interested in what you guys think of them? Another name she's considering is Dora (nice, but too much of a 'the Explorer' connotation for me, haha).

i saw dora and the first thing that came to mind was "BACKPACK BACKPACK!" oh the perils of having a 4 year old in the house...

Good names. I see your point about flow, but I like them.

I think I would like India Rochelle better than Rachel, something a little more mellifluous.

love both first names, don't like either of the middle names. how odd to follow these names with something so common.

I think Dora Rachel would be much nicer. Dora and Maya sound really nice together.

Not a fan of India, at all.

That is funny, because I like India Rachel wayyyy better than Maya Robin! When I actually say Maya Robin, it sounds too much like "I'm a robin" and that irks me--it just sounds like a bad joke. Since I guess people wouldn't really see the middle names, I think India and Maya make a nice sibset. I think India and Dora sound nice together too.

I like India, and I think it sounds pretty good with Rachel. I don't think India and Maya sound all that good together though.

I like Maya but am not a fan of Rachel, India or Robin. Dora is definitely the explorer.

I don't like the name Dora but it's hella better than India. I don't like Maya either. But I love the middle names.

Oh, and I didn't think of the explorer at first. I thought of Questionable Content.

i know twins names maia and robyn.

i like india rachel a lot. dora is sweet, too, and so is robin. but for some reason i just can't like maya, even though i have good connotations with the name and everything. i don't think maya robin flows well at all, either.

I don't like Maya and India as a set at all, although I love the name Maya.

i think maya and india are wonderful names, both separately and together. india is a tough one to pull off though, imo.
