Apr. 8th, 2008 04:27 pmFor a laugh i asked my SO, if he could name a kid, what would he call him/her? his response?
HER - Ruby (no middle name).
HIM - Logan (no middle name).
Hm, impressed, could have been worse. Feel free to join in and ask your SO.
My ex wanted kids called Dante Vincent and Amaya Cloud. Mhm. Men.

Date: 2008-04-08 03:31 pm (UTC)I like Vincent a lot. Dante is nice, but is so dramatic, I can't imagine actually using it.
Ruby is a favorite of mine. I would look forward to using it, but my boyfriend's last name is Brewer, and as I don't want any daughter of mine having to explain how one would go about brewing rubies...

Date: 2008-04-08 03:44 pm (UTC)I love the name Ruby, my husband doesn't. I tried to persuade him to no avail. Now my daughter's best friend is named Ruby, I'm jealous.

Date: 2008-04-08 06:10 pm (UTC)I don't have an SO, but the girl I like wants to name her daughters Madeleine and Evelyn (Madeleine after her grandmother and Evelyn because she likes it). I don't know about a boy name. I like both, but they sound weird together. I'd prefer Madeline and Evelyn, but she definitely wants to use Madeleine. Fortunately, she's straight, so we don't need to worry about compromising;)
My ex-boyfriend (heh, it was doomed from the start) wants to name his son Ward, which is his father's name and his middle name. I've never disliked it, but it's not my style.
A friend of mine wants to name her kids Nolan (after her friend, who died last year) and Lena. I think they're both awesome.

Date: 2008-04-08 07:46 pm (UTC)Vincent is also towards the top of my list for boy's names. I like y'all's taste :)
My SO seems fairly ambivalent about names. But then again he's one of about 439480941380483 Michael Roberts in his mid-20's. Mostly he's just shown approval of names I've mentioned I liked: Samuel, Vincent, Russell, Martin. But kids aren't in the works anytime soon yet.
