My aunt would like some help naming her baby a ridiculous name.

Names such as Lucky and Sunny.

Go on.

Short dumb middle names would help also.
Thanks in advance.

BTW. Girl names.

So. I just found out I'm pregnant! Not expected, but still good =]

If it's a boy we've already decided the name will be Henry Isaac Collins.

For a girl, I want Delphine, nickname Dela, but my fiance isn't so keen on it. Tear...

I was looking through my names, and I don't like any of them. At least, none of them feel right at all. Hopefully, this means it'll be a boy =] I really want a boy since I already have a daughter. Her name is Cressa May Henri (like in French, yes, double "henry's" but I think that's kind of nice because she's from my previous marriage and it'll kind of tie us all together.

Anyway, I'd love some help coming up with names. Here's my issue. I love names that are uncommon and ethnic. However, neither my fiance and I are anything but American, really, so it seems like everything on my list wouldn't fit and would just seem odd and forced.

here's my list of girl names... )

Time did a little article on family's with lots of kids.
They interviewed three families.

1: Peik, Truman, Pierson, Larson and Finn ( I like all except Peik and those are Laura Bennett's from Project Runway)
2: Charlie, Lizzie, Michael, Marta and Mary Grace (The last two are twins and I don't know if Charlie and Lizzie are short...)
3: Sadie, Maxwell, Lily and Jackson (LOVE!)

WDYT?

Okie doke....so out of complete and utter boredom I was flipping through my highschool yearbook from my senior year, and looking at all of the names. There are about a million Alishas, Jessicas, Stephanies, Jennifers, Adams, Joes, and Brians.....but here are some of the ones that stood out (some in a good one, some in a "oh holy jesus what were they thinking" way):

Girls:
Savannah
Cleda
Athena
Velda
Jadrien
Gina
Jillian
Cherolee
Fallon
Emolyn
Rajun
Shea
Tasia
Letisha
Glenna (sister is Hannah)
Kolenya
Kimber
Jacah
Tasheena
Carmen

Boys:
Ruben
Jarai
Skylar
Neftaly
Cataldo
Cleaston
Bentley
Grady
Eldon
Blake
Tre
Kagney
Mason
Glen
Tasaka

The really odd part is that 99.9% of these names belong to the children of very southern and conservative caucasians (there are a couple of children from "hippies" from the local folk school, but not a lot by any means!)....ah well, I guess everyone has to think outside of the box occasionally :D

My boyfriend & I cannot agree on anything for the LIFE OF US. I just found out I'm having a girl, so that helped narrow it down a bit. But now he doesn't like the name I had originally picked for a girl.. and we're trying to narrow down names as much as possible.

What do you think? Here's my list, but comments are appreciated. (The middle name will be Jordin/Jordyn.. no matter what. Not sure how we are going to spell it yet.)

So Tiger Woods named his daughter Sam Alexis. What do you think of a little girl just being named 'Sam'. Not short for Samantha or Samara or anything. I'm wondering because since I'm not crazy about any girls names right now I was thinking 'what if I just used one of my favourite boys names on a girl?' I do not want to use Edward or Maxwell on a girl, don't worry, but I was thinking..what about Sam? Just plain old Sam.

I know the trend of 'boys names on girls' is pretty annoying to everyone and it annoys me too (hellooo, james is a boys name!) but since girls named Samantha have been going to Sam forever now, do you think it falls into the same category?

One other thing, my father's name is Robert Alexander (Robert is a family name, it goes on for generations, including my brother) but he goes by Sandy. Have you ever heard Sandy short for Alexander before? It always used to make me laugh when I was a kid because I thought Sandy just came out of nowhere. I understand it comes from the end of Alexander but I'm just wondering, is it common?

Edit: I've been convinced(ish) that it's not a good idea. lol. Do any of you guys know of a website where I can search for names that start with Sam or have Sam as a nickname? I'm not a fan of Samantha but maybe another name would appeal to me. =]

First of all I miss spelled it, it's Tenley, she is a one of my preschool kids.  She is named after a family friend Tenley Emma Albright, an American figure skater who contracted polio at age 11, but won the U.S. figure skating championship in 1952 and the silver medal in the 1952 Olympics. In 1956, she became the first American woman to win the Olympic gold medal in figure skating.  In 1976, Albright was appointed to a seat on the U.S. Olympic Committee, the first woman to hold that position.
This is a picture of her.

See! Not a made up name!

Of a girl named Jinx?

What would be good middle names?

(Yes, I'm somewhat serious about this.)

Came across a kid named Kilo today (kee-low, like a kilo of cocaine). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about names, boys or girls, that Kilo could be a nick name for? (It was this kids full first name, though. Kilo no middle name.)
