Feb. 28th, 2008 12:29 pmSo. I just found out I'm pregnant! Not expected, but still good =]
If it's a boy we've already decided the name will be Henry Isaac Collins.
For a girl, I want Delphine, nickname Dela, but my fiance isn't so keen on it. Tear...
I was looking through my names, and I don't like any of them. At least, none of them feel right at all. Hopefully, this means it'll be a boy =] I really want a boy since I already have a daughter. Her name is Cressa May Henri (like in French, yes, double "henry's" but I think that's kind of nice because she's from my previous marriage and it'll kind of tie us all together.
Anyway, I'd love some help coming up with names. Here's my issue. I love names that are uncommon and ethnic. However, neither my fiance and I are anything but American, really, so it seems like everything on my list wouldn't fit and would just seem odd and forced.
Abri
Amadea
Athalia
Atalya
Aubrey
Audrey
Avery
Bria
Cassia
Catriona
Clea (clay-ah)
Daniella
Davinia
Delphine
Emuna
Evelyn
Faye
Helicia
Imogen (nn Mimi)
Laine

Liora
Magdalen
Nadia
Natalie
Neora
Nerina
Onilee
Piper
Priya
Pru
Rhea
Saida
Sophia
Talia
Theone
Tien
Theonie

Wren
So, ladies, please give me some suggestions?

Date: 2008-02-28 09:04 pm (UTC)I don't like Delphine at all. It seems strange to me. What about Delilah? It's sort of similar, and you could still call her Dela, or even Delia.
I like:
Audrey
Cassia
Daniella
Evelyn
Nadia
Natalie
Piper
Sophia
I think Nadia would work really well with Cressa or with Henry, so that'd be my first choice. I also like Audrey and Sophia.

Date: 2008-02-28 11:02 pm (UTC)I love your boy name, Henry Isaac Collins is great.
Just wondering, is Henri your daughter's last name or is it another middle name? Either way, it's a lovely name. =]
Out of your name list I like Aubrey and Audrey (I prefer Aubrey though), Cassia, Nadia, Natalie, Sophia and Wren.
Also, Pru is appealing to me for some reason and I wouldn't expect it to. Although one of my close friends has the family name Proulx so it seems very last name to me.
