I never much paid attention to names I was hearing around me...until I joined this community. Today we had my niece (Corynne) at the park. I heard parents calling for Molly, Emma, Dylan, and Aiden (at least, I think it was Aiden...at the very least, it was one of the Aiden/-ayden names)

I know of a few people who have recently given birth. I think I listed a couple of them before, but I'm relisting, just for shits and giggles.

Names for their little ones:

Aiden James
Justice Paige (sister to Christian and Kathryn)
Bryce Matthew (brother to Tessa)
Larissa Ann (sister to Alexandria Dawn)
James Robert

My ex-stepdad just went on a trip to florida to see his brother and his new wife. She's from Brazil and her name is Marley.

I kind of like it, what do you all think?

Also that reminds me, I've been wanting to post the name Marnie/Marny (I prefer the ie spelling)

I really like the name for some reason but I don't think I'd ever use it.

Thoughts?

Parents - kid

Candice and Daryl - Kameron Chayce (m)
Jaida and Andrew - William Griffin Pickett (m)
Melissa and Dan - Jillian (f)
Yolanda and Miguel - Krystal (f)
Mirtha and Oscar - Alexandra Faye (f)
Ismariel and Edwin - Christian (m)
Dalila - Danniel Alexander (m)
Djohar and Peter - Lucas Peter (m)
Maria and Christian - Christina Lizet (f)
Jane and Michael - Johnathan Michael (m)
Carmen and Eduardo - Nick Andres (m)
Tisheana and Roger - Zyaire DaQuan (m)
Karin and Scott - Ray Allen (m)
Irina and Christian - Mikaela Miah (f)
Courtney and Frank - Michael Alexander (m)
Jamie and Frank - Paisley Ross (f)
Daniela and Andre - Guilherme Paiva (m)
Renee and David - Olivia Marie (f)

I love Olivia Marie.
I like the sound of Mikaela but I never like the spellings.
Paisley Ross would work better with a girlier middle name.... And a different first name.
Zyaire DaQuan is a mess.
I really like Michael Alexander too but it's really plain.

this is sort of prompted by another topic on here, but what are your opinions on using *really* out there middle names?
as a kid hits school age, does it really matter what the middle name is?
of course, in the wake of the birth announcements, you may get crap from relatives...
all of the "trouble/danger/etc is my middle name" jokes being reality might be interesting though.

thoughts?

Oui ou non?

I think I may have finally found the name for my little girl due late April/early May.

Quinn Aurelia [Trenholm]

I had a hard time finding a middle name that sounds good with Quinn and my last name but the more I say this, the more I like it - it actually gave me butterflies when I put the names together.

Thoughts/opinions?

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - A central Pennsylvania couple has a new tradition for ringing in the new year: spending it in the maternity ward.

For the second year in a row, Kyle and Becky Armstrong welcomed the first baby of the year at Gettysburg Hospital.

Faith Lynn Armstrong arrived on New Year's Day at 5:23 a.m. Her brother, Kaden Skye, was the hospital's first baby in 2007 , also born on Jan. 1.

So I went through the hospital census today when I was bored and I wrote down some names I either thought were interesting, uncommon or likable. Stars next to the ones I like or sort of like. So here it is...

Below are sixty girl's names and sixty boy's names.
List (in order - no.1 being your fave) the ten you like the most for each gender, then list (in order - no.1 being the one you can't stand) the ten you dislike the most for each gender.
If you want, give reasons why you feel the way you do about each one.

NB: The selection of names is not made up entirely of names I like, or dislike, or am indifferent towards - they're a mixture of all three.

WTF. Seriously, HOW hard is it to pronounce Angelique? I was called Angela for the quadrillionth time today! Those names do not sound similar enough to be mistaken for each other, in my opinion.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a name that you are *constantly* being referred by (instead of your real name)?
