I do not know who these people are but apparently one of them is famous because they are on cbb.

Anyway:

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and her husband Michael Nilon are new parents after welcoming twin sons last Thursday in Los Angeles.

Jax Joseph and Jaid Thomas.

I scrunch my *nose at them.

I've been saying for awhile now that my favourite boy's name is Lachlan/Lachlin because I love the nn Lachi (Lock-ee) and if I named a kid Lachlan they would definitely go by Lachi all the time. I'm honestly not even that crazy about the name Lachlan. I just love Lachi.

I also like the name Malachi and I just realized that it has 'lachi' in it.

So: Lachi as a nn for Malachi?
Do you guys think it works? Have you heard it before?

I'm kind of torn between this name; I can't decide whether I like it or not. What do you guys think?

Took a call from a woman yesterday who spelled her name "Sasha" but pronounced "Say-sha."

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS?!@!$ I worked with a guy a few years ago who spelled his name "Michael" but insisted it was supposed to be "Mih-KELL." I wonder if the parents are the ones who initiated that pronunciation or whether the person started doing that later in life to be more distinctive or whatever.

Either way, it's annoying.

The post before this reminded me of that show on TV - Quintuplets.

What do you think of their names??

Pearce
Penny
Parker
Patton
Paige

I'm just going to add here, because I wasn't sure if everyone was aware owing to a few of the comments...these aren't names of REAL quintuplets. It is in fact a fictional show.

So, I was bored and checking out Eva Longoria Parker's Wikipedia page when I came across the names of her family members:

Enrique, Jr. (father)
Ella Eva (mother)
Elizabeth Judina (sister)
Emily Jeannette (sister)
Esmeralda Josephina (sister)
Eva Jacqueline

They all have very nice names, but the matchiness of it all makes my teeth hurt.

Out of interest, list your top five boy and girl names (so, 10 in total) and write the rank for 2006 next to it. You can comment (or not) if having popular names or not is a priority and plays a big part in the choice of your names

A useful site (as always)

I met a little baby named Luna at work.

Her brother? Thomas.

I half don't get it and half want to make her radish earrings. *

* A Harry Potter reference. A character named Luna Lovegood wore fantastic radish earrings.

two credit cards i ran today: Blandyna and Kimetha. Okay, who would name their kid BLANDYNA!? Is that even a name? You don't have to go far to say "Oh, she's so bland!" And Kimetha? It almost sounds like a Hebrew name, which would make it okay, but it is probably made up. wow....

well...

salutations! i made a new one of these:
VOTE on my Name List

with the boy's names, i'm much more decisive.
i would like for the middle name to be either james or alexander for family reasons, i know it tends to get a little repetitive.
i'm still having trouble finding a girl's name that i am just crazy about, much less finding a middle name to go with it. ack!

Bronwyn Weber has forever ruined the name Bronwyn for me. She is so. freakin. irritating! :(

I used to like that name. :(

Also, a girl I used to work with has a sister named Beatrice. They pronounce it as Bee-at-triss. Odd!
