For me, it doesn't really matter if the name is popular or not, but I often associate names with people I have met, so the chance is I've met about 100 Aidan/Jayden/Caden variants and associate these with snotty brats hehe

i definitely thought more of mine would be in the top 100 (max, luca, ruby), but glad they arent. popularity definitely doesnt affect my liking the name, but it does affect whether or not i will use them. for many years, hannah was my favorite girls name and i was dead set on using it as my first girls name, and its still a favorite now, but i hear it absolutely everywhere now and as a result, i really dont think i will actually use it, which makes me a little sad.
