so go figure, i decided to get started on naming the little bugger that is on the way, which might i add is making me even more anxious!

boy name, a piece of cake. i like Cooper Kenneth Blair Petersen. it's kind of a secret since the family thinks we're going the [something] James Blair route, but we want to surprise our families by throwing in a family name from both sides; Kenneth is the name of my [living] grandfather AND my fiancee's [favorite but deceased] grandfather. everyone will be so surprised and touched, especially my grandpa! ...along with the must-have passed down name of Blair thanks to family tradition.

BUT when it comes to a girl name, i have free reign, which is NOT making it easy for me!
i am in LOVE with the name Sophie. but i have a hard time finding middle names to go with.
but when it comes to Sophia (a name i'm not terribly crazy about) i can come up with numerous combos.  my favorite Sophia Violet Marie Petersen.
i would use Sophie instead, but it just doesnt sound the same with that combo, IMO. and nothing i've came up with seems to have a RING to it.

so i have a few questions for you all.
Would it be confusing to name her Sophia and call her Sophie?
and What are some great name combos to use with the name Sophie?

i've included a list of my favorite girl names so you have an idea of what i like...
all of these names are making my head spin. i cant figure out what sounds good with Sophie!! :(
oh, and to add to the difficulty, she would be having TWO middle names, hahah. [DIES]

so, Please oh wise naming ones, help me out!

ps. sorry to ramble!

Is this community only for first names, or can we post questions on surnames too? If we can, could anyone help with any information on the following surnames: Jewett, Pross, Semo and Vollor.

Here are some first names of people I actually know, what are some opinions:

Ariana
Maylee
Desiray
Mary Grace
Jeremiah
Cheyenne
Jack

What do you think of these random names that I like for some reason or another:  (I'm not saying I would use them, I just like them)

Girls:
September
Kansas

Boys:
Whitley nn Whit
Leland
Booker
Mordecai

Booker and Mordecai are actually two names I really want to use on dogs and/or cats.

My husband is dead set on Colson. I like Colson, but love Cole. He thinks vice versa.

Apparently we are naming our son Colson. Help me think of a middle name.

Random, but his brothers will be Trent and Easton.

I am due in June with a baby girl. A friend of mine just pointed something out, suggesting that we give our daughter a name that begins with K. My husband's name is Bradley, mine is Elizabeth, and our son is Henry. She showed me this pattern: B c d E f g H i j K

Thing is, there aren't really any K names that I am particularly fond of. Suggestions?

I don't care for Kimberly, I can't use Katherine, and I don't like the K instead of C trend. Her middle name is to be Lilian.

Your ideas will be very much appreciated!

I know six month old twins named:

Kali (Callie) and Kadince (Cadence).

I love the name Cadence, but hate that spelling. I also prefer Kaylie to Callie.

What do you think?
