A few names I like. I'd love your thoughts, suggustions of names you'd think I like, and anything else you'd like to offer.

10 plus 10 equals 20 )

Adrien (I love it, but spelled Adrian)
Arlen-middle name (indifferent)
Ash-middle name (maybe Asher)
Blade-middle name (seriously? nuh uh!)
Blaine (I don't mind it)
Cain (um, I don't know)
Drake (yes, I like it, for a middle name, but I don't know if we could use it)
Evan (indifferent)
Ezra (Jebus, no)
Gage (yes, I like it, don't know if I would use it, possibly for a middle name, but Gage was the kid in Pet Cemetery and I already have one son with a name of a kid who killed his mother from a movie(The Omen), don't know if I could handle two)
Grayson (love it, was almost Damien's name, not sure if I like that or Greyson better though)
Ian (indifferent)
Iggy (Iggy!? Haha)
Jude (like it, but don't love it)
Kavan (had to look this up, apparently it's an Irish name meaning handsome)
Keegan (used to like this, spelled Keagan...when I was little, not so much anymore)
Kirby (oh, come on, Jesse! I hope this was a joke, "hello, my name is Kirby Kirby")
Malcolm (I don't like it)
Manning (I like it for a middle name, goes well with Damien's middle name, Maddox)
Mason (indifferent)
Maynard (I had to ask him about this, apparently it's the name of some dude in Tool, but it's a horrible name, for some reason I think of castration)
Nevan (had to look this up too, Irish name meaning holy)
Ori-middle name (sounds like a nickname, I like Orion though)
Owen (I like it for a middle name possibly)
Payton (prefer Peyton and I like it for a girl)
Quentin (I like it)
Russell-middle name (he put this on here because it was my dad's middle name and the name he went by)
Ryder (I didn't like it at first, but it's growing on me because of the fact that Jesse was a pro/am motocross racer, possibly a middle name)
Selby-middle name (I honestly didn't know this was a boy's name)
Severn-middle name (all I can think of is the town in Maryland and then Damien's father's girlfriend because she used to live there)
Tad (isn't that a nickname?)
Tait (I liked it until Jesse said it reminds him of taint...but he still likes it, now all I can think of is a taint)
Talib (I think he's confused about the pronunciation)
Tallon (I like it for a middle name, possibly, not sure though)
Wade (I don't like it)

I'll either post my list tonight or tomorrow. He also put Adolf and Dyke on the list so I'm hoping a few of these names are just a joke, if not I'm seriously going to reconsider having children with him...hehe.

in relation to my post about last names as first... am I right that many of you believe Smith is a fine FIRST name for a boy??? I think it's terrible! I can't imagine anyone doing that to their kid.. "hey, let's go with that crappy last-names-as-first-names trend.. oh, I know, let's pick the single most common last name in existence! our son will love it!"

There was this chick in one of the off-Broadway shows I worked at in college and her name was Funda (the "u" is pronounced like the "oo" sound in "book"). I don't know why but I randomly thought of her last night and I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about her name. I think she is Turkish, but if anyone can verify the origin of the name and if anyone knows the meaning of Funda, please let me know!

And while I would probably never use the name on any of my own children, I have to say that for some reason it really worked for her. :)

My husband and I were discussing the name Avery for a girl. Love it, hate it, or too popular??
[identity profile] mommamayer317.livejournal.com
There are only 4 kids in my sons class in his daycare (its a daycare strictly for students, and its free, but you have to do volunteer work for it)  The kids in his room are:

Adean (not a weird spelling of Aiden, A-dean) (b)
Siddha   (g)
Alexys (g)
and, of course, Dylan (my son)

I've never heard of either Adean or Siddha... i think they are both interesting names.  I wonder where they got them from.

Some of the other kids there are:

Lance
Skyler (love it, for a girl though)
Koal  (love the name, hate the spelling)
Aiden
Kamunga

Allyson
Mya
Angelina
Madison

And thats all I can remember at the moment lol  What do you all think?

No way.

Seriously! My husband will NOT give up REX as the first name if we ever have a son!

We're probably going to wait another year or so to even have a baby but he's insisting that if it's a boy we name the poor guy REX.

I've suggested so many other names and I'm just plain out of ideas.

He likes the "x" sound.
He doesn't like trendy names.
He doesn't like common names.
He doesn't like anything other than Rex it seems.

Anyone care to help?

Bets on names for Britney Spears' kid? Anna Nicole Smith's daughter?

I am guessing Jaelyn Maelyn McCheeto and Trimspana.

ETA: Ohhh, come on guys. I don't think a few facetious name ribs are going to hurt Britney and Anna Nicole. I really am interested if anyone has guesses. There were rumors about Britney having a daughter and having a name all picked out - is it for real, or just a ruse?

I work as a teaching assistant (in the UK) between 2 classes of 4-5 year olds, so here's their names!
I've put an * next to the names of the children who are ethnic, just so you know!

Jurassic Park - Finding Nemo - Beauty and the Beast results....
Ian won. Donald did not. Ellie landed on top. Lex fell to the bottom.
Jacques is the victory. Gill had almost no love. Coral ruled above. While no one liked Deb.
Let's hear it for Philippe. And a moment of silence for Gaston, Chip, and Maurice all with four votes. There is no doubt that Bell beat Babette.

I present to you .... Wedding Crashers, Law & Order: SVU, and Grey's Anatomy. I went with the 5 names per gender so a few had to be cut, I tried to make it a mixed bag of styles. Like always enjoy!
