[identity profile] dosequisgirl.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Adrien (I love it, but spelled Adrian)
Arlen-middle name (indifferent)
Ash-middle name (maybe Asher)
Blade-middle name (seriously? nuh uh!)
Blaine (I don't mind it)
Cain (um, I don't know)
Drake (yes, I like it, for a middle name, but I don't know if we could use it)
Evan (indifferent)
Ezra (Jebus, no)
Gage (yes, I like it, don't know if I would use it, possibly for a middle name, but Gage was the kid in Pet Cemetery and I already have one son with a name of a kid who killed his mother from a movie(The Omen), don't know if I could handle two)
Grayson (love it, was almost Damien's name, not sure if I like that or Greyson better though)
Ian (indifferent)
Iggy (Iggy!? Haha)
Jude (like it, but don't love it)
Kavan (had to look this up, apparently it's an Irish name meaning handsome)
Keegan (used to like this, spelled Keagan...when I was little, not so much anymore)
Kirby (oh, come on, Jesse! I hope this was a joke, "hello, my name is Kirby Kirby")
Malcolm (I don't like it)
Manning (I like it for a middle name, goes well with Damien's middle name, Maddox)
Mason (indifferent)
Maynard (I had to ask him about this, apparently it's the name of some dude in Tool, but it's a horrible name, for some reason I think of castration)
Nevan (had to look this up too, Irish name meaning holy)
Ori-middle name (sounds like a nickname, I like Orion though)
Owen (I like it for a middle name possibly)
Payton (prefer Peyton and I like it for a girl)
Quentin (I like it)
Russell-middle name (he put this on here because it was my dad's middle name and the name he went by)
Ryder (I didn't like it at first, but it's growing on me because of the fact that Jesse was a pro/am motocross racer, possibly a middle name)
Selby-middle name (I honestly didn't know this was a boy's name)
Severn-middle name (all I can think of is the town in Maryland and then Damien's father's girlfriend because she used to live there)
Tad (isn't that a nickname?)
Tait (I liked it until Jesse said it reminds him of taint...but he still likes it, now all I can think of is a taint)
Talib (I think he's confused about the pronunciation)
Tallon (I like it for a middle name, possibly, not sure though)
Wade (I don't like it)

I'll either post my list tonight or tomorrow. He also put Adolf and Dyke on the list so I'm hoping a few of these names are just a joke, if not I'm seriously going to reconsider having children with him...hehe.

I must admit I liked a lot of the names he had on there.

Ash or Asher works.
Blade
Blaine
Cain
Gage
Grayson
Mason
Quentin
Ryder
Tait
Tallon ..maybe spelled differently though. Talan.

All those I like.

I really like Ezra and Tait (although spelt Taite) and also semi-like Keegan & Ryder. I think Payton/Peyton is a girly name too and would use it for a girl...

Every time I see Severn I think of the river. I must admit that apart from that I like most of the others. Adrian is a fave of mine.

Aside from the associations, I think Gage and Damien would be adorable names for brothers. And they would probably get a kick out of the association when they got older. If you have a daughter, name her Elizabeth. :D

actually, the word Taliban does come from the word "Talib" which mean "student" in Arabic ; )

Whoa, Jesse and my B have similar taste in names- it's a good thing he forgot about the whole 'Tad' phase since he is set on Jake now.

The only names I like on here are Owen and Adrien (except I like it for a girl). The rest I hate.

I seriously hope that you would spell it 'Adrienne' for a girl. That spelling is definitely all boy.

Oh yeah, I definatly spell it Adrienne.

I think your husband is mistaken about Kavan. It's either a respelling of Cavan (which does not mean 'handsome') or a respelling of Kevin, which DOES mean handsome. I knew that already, but I did some research on the name to make sure and I ONLY found it on the really bad/unreliable baby name websites, which leads me to believe it's been recently invented or is just a rare spelling variation.

*shrug* I'm not an etymologist by any stretch though, so I could definitely be wrong, but my research definitely supported what I thought.

Adrien - It's ok, but I've known more girl Adriennes than boy Adriens so i automatically think of it as a girls' name.
Arle - Looks kind of girly as well.
Ash - Maybe as a nickname.
Blade - Ehh.. I don't like thinking of knives or grass when I think of a kid's name. =\
Blaine - I know this is more commonly used as a boy's name, but I have a friend named Blaine who is a girl, so I myself personally see it as a girl's name. I still like it a lot, though, even for a boy.
Cain - Ehh.
Drake - I like it a lot.
Evan - I'm indifferent too.
Ezra - I like it, though it's a touch bit femine-sounding.
Gage - Reminds me of cars.
Grayson - I like this, though I also prefer Greyson.
Ian - I like it.
Iggy - Haha, no.
Jude - On my top 10 favorite names for boys list.
Kavan - It's too close to Kevin, but I like it for its meaning.
Keegan - It's alright.
Kirby - Too childish.. wouldn't age well.
Malcolm - It's all right.
Manning - More of a last name.
Mason - I know a kid named Mason. He's pretty adorable. I think of it more as a last name, though.
Maynard - Kinda nerdy.
Nevan - Too much like Evan.
Ori - Looks like a nickname for Orlando. I like Orlando, not so much Ori. =\
Owen - I like it.
Payton - It's all right.
Quentin - Like this one a lot.
Russell - Hmmm... it's ok.
Ryder - Ehh.. reminds me too much of the word.
Selby - Looks too girly.
Severn - Looks like Laverne. Too girly.
Tad - I like Chad or Brad, but Tad looks look like a slang word more than a name.
Tait - Spelled "Tate" would be better. It's just ok, though.
Talib - Not feeling it.
Tallon - Looks like talon. Like claw.. or long, sharp nail. =\
Wade - Too nerdy.
