omgz so lyke wuts ur name?

So I'm sure everybody here already knows this about each other, but I'm new, and I'm bored, and I want to know your name.

Mine is Laura Lynn. My parents named me Laura Lynn and called me that for a while, then it got shortened to Laura when I started school, and now in some circles it's Laura and in others it's Laura Lynn. I prefer Laura Lynn; I'd rather not think about my name in separate parts, because then I hate my boring-ass middle name. If I think of it as one name, then I think, "Aw, how cute and alliterative."

Your turn.

Sarah Katharine. Only I was called Sarah Kate throughout my early years in school. I HATED my name "Sarah" because everyone was named that. But Sarah Kate was too babyish and I dropped it when I was about 10. And I dropped Katharine when I got married. So now I guess I'm just Sarah. I still don't like my name.

I am Rosalie Margaret. I went by Rosie through school, and now I go by Rose. I hate my name most of the time, but every once in a while I'm ok with it.

I'm Michelle Kathleen.
Kathleen's my mom's name. Michelle is just, Michelle. Nothing special. They just liked it.
I'm ok with my name, but if I could've named myself, obviously I would've used a combo of two of my favorite names & it would come out much more unusual.

My name is Kailani Conchita. Most people call me Kai just because it's easier. My parents have connections with Hawai'i and Conchita is my grandma's name.

Lili Bianca

i have always been just Bianca though. They wanted to name me Bianca, but my mom (who is persian) wanted me to have a persian name, and my parents could only agree on one, Lili. They hated how Bianca Lili sounded so they named me Lili Bianca and only ever called me Bianca. its good because i am definitely not a Lili

My name is Leah Tess.
Leah is just a name my parents really liked, but Tess was my grandmother's name. Her full name was Theresa, but she was almost exclusively called Tess.
I always liked my first and middle names, because I felt they flowed well together. Like right off the tongue.

I'm just Kiersten. I have a middle name, but I absolutely hate it. So, pretty much nobody knows it except for my parents.

I'm half Danish, and Kiersten is Scandinavian and sounds good with my last name. I used to hate it. People always called me Kursten and Kristen and nobody could spell it. But, I really have grown to love my name.

Your pronunciation is my favorite variation of the name, and the spelling makes it easier to pronounce correctly, imo!

Miranda Viva Rose

I like it. There weren't too many Miranda's while I was in school (born in 1980) though it seems to be pretty popular now days.

Aubrey Clare Elana
(yeah my parents were really into giving two middle names I guess, my brother is Dylan Michael John)
The Aubrey my parents first heard in the song of the same name by Bread
Clare is after my dad's mother's father Clarence
Elana they put in so I would have the same initials as my dad's dad ACEM (Albert Charles Edward for him). But the cool thing about the Elana is that I am converting to Judaism and I need to pick a hebrew name and Elana is a hebrew name which means "tree" or possibly "oak tree" so I'm using that name to honour my parents.

My name is Colure Cayman Campbell ;p
My parents were huge hippies, and um... well, I guess they wanted me to be unique? Or something? ;p
My sister's name is Ceraye Channing Campbell ;p
My parents really really really liked alliteration, too, it would seem ;p

I am Jackeline Marie. I was suppose to be named Elizabeth Ann but my grandmother saved me and named me after Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis. My mom loved the name too....or she was to out of it to really notice what was going on. My dad was in the military and was away on TDY or something like that and he telegrammed my mother asking how Elizabeth Ann was doing and she telegrammed him back....Uh, Jackeline Marie is doing great. 7lbs 8oz and blah blah blah. haha! So that's how my dad learned about the name change. LOL My dad liked it way better than Elizabeth.

Maryam. That's it. No middle name. Often abbreviated NMN. My married name starts with an M. So now I'm MNMNM. I used to be MT (sound it out).

It's a Persian name, after a flower, means tuberose.

Cora Lee not hyphenated, two separate names. My maternal grandfather's name is Lee so I am named after him. I never met another Cora until I was in high school but it seems to be gaining in popularity now.

My name is Katherine.

Just Katherine, no middle... Or Katherine Space, as I like to say. ;D

My mother named me after her favorite actress, Katharine Hepburn. She chose the normal, and (in her opinion) prettiest/best way of spelling it. I do like my name, don't get me wrong, but there are times when I wish she had gone with the Hepburn spelling just because I see it as so much more beautiful and classic (and much less common!)

Julie Ann is my name. I'm always Julie but my nickname is Julie Annie and I love my middle name. It works perfectly with my first name. I don't mind being called Juliann(e) or anything. I actually prefer my middle name w/o the 'e' and my parents were smart like that. Many people call me Julia though and I am certainly not a Julia. Just Julie.

My name is Lysanne - pronounced as lee-san-nuh, the a sounds like the a in arm.
I don't really like it, but I don't hate it either. Ah well :o

I'm Amelia Rose. Amelia wasn't that common back when I was born (87) but it seems little kids being born now are being bestowed with the name so good for them, I guess. I have a twin called Cressida June. I wasn't named after anything in particular, but June was my grandmother's name (we were also born in June, but I don't think that came into it).

I read what you said above about one of your campers drowning, and I'm really sorry you had to go through that. I hope you feel better about it. It's really awful.

Hayley Joy (and a Polish last name that no one can spell). It's said "HAY-ley," not "HAIL-ey." There are a lot of meanings for the name floating about. I go with the English menaing. It's a hay-meadow or hay-field. Meadow, folks, meadow. Which I happen to like, since it suits my personality. The Scottish meaning is "heroine," so that's nice as well, but I see that they put that meaning next to all the different spellings of the name, so I don't really count it as the meaning so much as the English meaning, if you follow me. (fact: my parents kept my name a secret from everyone until it was official because it wasn't as popular then and my extended family is full of meanly critical people.)

As for the middle name, I was doing some acrobatics in the womb and decided it would be fun to strangle myself, so the fact that I didn't kill myself was a cause of great joy to my parents.

Amanda Alice

Amanda- Just because my Mom liked it. Like a lot of other Moms in 1983. LOL

Alice- For my maternal great grandmother. My mother was very close to her and she passed away the same day my mother first felt me move in utero.
