So I'm sure everybody here already knows this about each other, but I'm new, and I'm bored, and I want to know your name.

Mine is Laura Lynn. My parents named me Laura Lynn and called me that for a while, then it got shortened to Laura when I started school, and now in some circles it's Laura and in others it's Laura Lynn. I prefer Laura Lynn; I'd rather not think about my name in separate parts, because then I hate my boring-ass middle name. If I think of it as one name, then I think, "Aw, how cute and alliterative."

Your turn.

Hayley Joy (and a Polish last name that no one can spell). It's said "HAY-ley," not "HAIL-ey." There are a lot of meanings for the name floating about. I go with the English menaing. It's a hay-meadow or hay-field. Meadow, folks, meadow. Which I happen to like, since it suits my personality. The Scottish meaning is "heroine," so that's nice as well, but I see that they put that meaning next to all the different spellings of the name, so I don't really count it as the meaning so much as the English meaning, if you follow me. (fact: my parents kept my name a secret from everyone until it was official because it wasn't as popular then and my extended family is full of meanly critical people.)

As for the middle name, I was doing some acrobatics in the womb and decided it would be fun to strangle myself, so the fact that I didn't kill myself was a cause of great joy to my parents.
