omgz so lyke wuts ur name?
Jul. 3rd, 2006 11:41 pmSo I'm sure everybody here already knows this about each other, but I'm new, and I'm bored, and I want to know your name.
Mine is Laura Lynn. My parents named me Laura Lynn and called me that for a while, then it got shortened to Laura when I started school, and now in some circles it's Laura and in others it's Laura Lynn. I prefer Laura Lynn; I'd rather not think about my name in separate parts, because then I hate my boring-ass middle name. If I think of it as one name, then I think, "Aw, how cute and alliterative."
Your turn.

Date: 2006-07-04 04:50 am (UTC)Kathleen's my mom's name. Michelle is just, Michelle. Nothing special. They just liked it.
I'm ok with my name, but if I could've named myself, obviously I would've used a combo of two of my favorite names & it would come out much more unusual.

Date: 2006-07-04 04:57 am (UTC)i have always been just Bianca though. They wanted to name me Bianca, but my mom (who is persian) wanted me to have a persian name, and my parents could only agree on one, Lili. They hated how Bianca Lili sounded so they named me Lili Bianca and only ever called me Bianca. its good because i am definitely not a Lili

Date: 2006-07-04 04:57 am (UTC)Leah is just a name my parents really liked, but Tess was my grandmother's name. Her full name was Theresa, but she was almost exclusively called Tess.
I always liked my first and middle names, because I felt they flowed well together. Like right off the tongue.

Date: 2006-07-04 05:18 am (UTC)I'm half Danish, and Kiersten is Scandinavian and sounds good with my last name. I used to hate it. People always called me Kursten and Kristen and nobody could spell it. But, I really have grown to love my name.

Date: 2006-07-04 05:26 am (UTC)I like it. There weren't too many Miranda's while I was in school (born in 1980) though it seems to be pretty popular now days.

Date: 2006-07-04 05:28 am (UTC)(yeah my parents were really into giving two middle names I guess, my brother is Dylan Michael John)
The Aubrey my parents first heard in the song of the same name by Bread
Clare is after my dad's mother's father Clarence
Elana they put in so I would have the same initials as my dad's dad ACEM (Albert Charles Edward for him). But the cool thing about the Elana is that I am converting to Judaism and I need to pick a hebrew name and Elana is a hebrew name which means "tree" or possibly "oak tree" so I'm using that name to honour my parents.
