Can you think of any variations of the name Brad besides Bradley and Bradford?

Okay, so we have 10 days until my due date and we cannot agree on a name.  We are really feeling it's a boy but have chosen not to find out the sex.  We've got nothing but Hana for a girl's name that we can agree on (pronounced Hah-nuh instead of the 'regular' way).  I'd prefer Hazel and he's prefer Hyacinth.

For boy names, we have Attila Barana (Buh-rah-nuh) and Mako (May-ko) Barana (our daughter Omaha acutally came up with Barana so it's probably not even a real name but we both like it).  I was very hesitant about Mako (sharks, Maaco paint jobs) but am even more hesitant about Attila even though I do kinda like it.  I just know the kid will always get Attila the Hun jokes...

Anyway, any opinions would be appreciated!

"Creative names instantly conver an artistic, exotic image on your child. They also mark you as a parent who prizes originality, who wants to instill a love of the inventive and poetic in your little one. These days, the source of Creative Names has expanded to include everything from surnames to place names to foreign names to names that are literally coined by the parents. But the names here are among those that have both a historical basis and an instantly recognizable creative image."

I'll post the boys tomorrow. There's a lot of names.

WDYT of the name Amarantha? I know it's different, and out there, but I love the sound of it, and it's been in my head a lot lately. I don't think I could ever use it, though, much as I love it ... I mean, my favorite boy's names (Benjamin, Nathaniel) all sound sort of normal compared to it. Then again, she could be called Amy for short ... right?! I guess it's more of a guilty pleasure name than anything. Maybe for a future pet .... lol.

This past weekend I was in Gettysburg, PA for a memorial statue dedication for George Custer and my Great-Great Grandfather (who saved Custer's life... :) )

And I saw this charmer of a name::

Elishua

Anyone want to take a stab at how that's pronounced, because I didn't hear!
Also, take a guess at what sex the child was. I'll post when there's a few guesses. or at least one.

*Edit* Yep, male. I had no idea it was a biblical/real name. I thought is was a combination of Elijah and Joshua that someone just made up or something...

Isabella Teresa (ter-RAY-suh)

WDYT? I don't know if I'd ever use it, but I really like it...

Also, when giving opinion...*try* and focus more on the sound/flow of it, rather than on the popularity of the name, or if you like the name. I'm more interested in knowing what you think of how it sounds.

WDYT

I have wanted to name a little girl Dagny for so many years now. Finally, I am pregnant and having a little girl.

I cannot come up with any middle names that sound perfect to me though. I don't want a common name. Dagny Elizabeth is pretty but Elizabeth is so popular and it is meaningless to me.

I would love a name that has meaning. I like words for names and unusual names but I would also like it to sound pretty. I have considered several Indian words and several Japanese words but none have struck me as "the one."

If it helps, I love literature and got Dagny's name from a book. I am a feminist and a vegetarian. Compassion and strong women in history or literature are some of the things I am trying to keep in mind when looking for names.

Any suggestions?

So, a few days ago someone posted a list of "trendy" names that seemed a little outdated/short.  Being bored, I decided to make my own list of trendy names based on info on the SSA website by looking up which names have steadily increased in popularity in recent years.  Without further ado...
