Jul. 5th, 2008 01:50 amWDYT of the name Amarantha? I know it's different, and out there, but I love the sound of it, and it's been in my head a lot lately. I don't think I could ever use it, though, much as I love it ... I mean, my favorite boy's names (Benjamin, Nathaniel) all sound sort of normal compared to it. Then again, she could be called Amy for short ... right?! I guess it's more of a guilty pleasure name than anything. Maybe for a future pet .... lol.

Date: 2008-07-05 01:35 pm (UTC)IMO Amy is a boring nn for such a weighty, important sounding first name.
Where did you come across it and how long have you been mulling it over?

Date: 2008-07-06 10:17 am (UTC)I also heard/read Amarantha somewhere recently and it's stuck with me too. I really like it but not sure I would use it - and I know it's too "out there" for my husband do it's not going to happen in his life time. :P
