Ugh. I had such high hopes...

so i was commenting on another post, and it got me thinking about the "wow, i was ALMOST named that" feeling i had when i once asked my mom, "what were some of the names you and Dad were thinking about when you were going to have me?"

has anyone else ever asked their parents that? and then been SO glad you had the name you did?? i thank God my mom was stubborn. Since i was her second child, but my dad's first, she agreed to let him choose the names, but she had to agree on the final one. Here are some of those she remembered:

What are your thoughts on Hunter? Is it a girl's name or a boy's name? To quote another member, would that kid be the biggest cocksucker? :)

Edit because I forgot to add - if you had a boa, what would you name it? Have already been shot down with my suggestion of Rocky Balboa, lol, so I need a few other ideas. It's a Colombian Boa, btw.

I'm still working that data entry job. I came up with a few more weird names:

If I have enough of these, I'm going to gather them all in a story and have the main character encounter each of these weird names, one by one. In the end some inner conflict would be resolved. It would be a terrible book with the coolest names ever.
