Watching The Hills marathon on MTV yesterday made me realize that the cast has a nice mixture of traditional and more contempory names, so I've created a poll to find out your favourites. Just pick your favourite female and male name from the list, and feel free to discuss you choices in the comments!

[Poll #949439]

We're expecting a girl. Which means Gabriel is out, and we're not ready to give up on a boy so we're holding it in reserver (ie - no Gabrielle, Gabriella etc.)

He likes
Alexis
Alexie
Alex
But is open minded.

I like:
Cecilia
Lilian
Ava

I mostly like Jane for a middle name. I'm not set, but pretty fond of it. So any ideas? _______ Jane Fischer? Sisters Megan Patricia (adopted) Morgan Rain and Paige Elizabeth

EDIT - welcoming any ideas outside of those!

Big Sister Morgan (4) has suggested:

Paige (she apparently wants to make things easy on her self)
Woods (I'm not sure where that came from)
and Dora the Explorer

I have always been fond of the name Tobias, ever since reading some book. I was under the impression that it was pronounced "Toe-by-us", but I was looking at a baby name website that had it listed "toe-by-uh" - as in the s is silent. Which way would you pronounce it?

Just wondering what you all think of the name Jack and what are a few middle names you think go well with it? The fiance likes Jack Andrew but I am unsure. If we used that on the next son his intials would be J.A.M. which isn't a big deal.

wdyt?

What do you think of these combos for a set of boy siblings?  Can you catch the reference?  It isn't hard at all.

Thatcher Huckleberry
Finn Thomas
Sawyer Beckett

Personally, as someone who enjoys literature, I could see myself using these for my boys.  I think they are cool names, but I know I won't have three boys, I'm just not that lucky.
