My sister knows a kid named Stardoeg (pronounced "Star-dog.") Is that even a name? (Don't tell me it's a name if somebody gives it to their child-his mother was actually high when she gave birth to him, and I'm just curious if anyone else has ever heard of it.)

Apparently those were all names the mom just happened to like...no special meanings behind any of them and she couldn't narrow it down to just a first and middle name...Oh and they're calling the baby Haven-Ray.

I'm just pretty much speechless...

last name woes

My soon-to-be last name is Hertz, and it is presenting more of a problem with any names for future children than I had ever thought. Immediately, it knocked out one of my favorite names, Landon. And at one point in time I had pitched Braden to my fiance, to which he replied, "Only if Hair can be the middle name." Har har, right?

A name I really have been trying to sell him on is Rayne. So my question to you is, would Rayne Hertz get my kid picked on? LoL Honestly, most people tell me they don't even think of the Hertz=hurts connection until it's pointed out [like, for instance, my mom always laughs because I'm about to graduate from nursing school, so I will be Nurse Hertz].

So what do you think? Am I asking for my kid to get teased?
