Hey all, I'm 9.5 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child (due July 22 2007).  Our other two children are Maylie (almost 4 yrs) and Greg (26 mos old).

I know it's still early but I'm in a quandry because I found the "perfect" girl name and used it on Maylie and can't come up with a girl name I like for this one.  Obviously my hubby and I need to agree on a name, but I want to have a name (or several) in mind to discuss.

Basically I like names that are unusual but not weird sounding.  I get compliments on Maylie's name all the time that it's pretty and they haven't heard it before. (although there's only the random mispronounciations like my father-in-law was calling her "may-LEE" for the longest time when it's "MAY-lee".  I spelled it that way because people could remember how to spell it, and I think -ie is less pretentious than -ee or -eigh or other variations.

And our son's name is more of a family name... not one I would've chosen but my husband got to name Greg since I got to name Maylie.  But we BOTH get to name this one (or at least agree on one).  My husband likes "Samantha" but his brother's name is Sam and I don't want 2 Sam's in the family.  He also likes Virginia (nickname Ginny) because that's his late grandmother's name but it doesn't sound that great with our last name (Narotski), although it's better than Samantha (which is also WAY too popular for my tastes).  I do have a few boys names I like so just need suggestions for girl names...

So does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Criteria:
1. Can't be too popular.
2. Can't start with M (we have too many M names in our family)
3. Can't rhyme or sound similar to Bill, Greg, Dianna, or Maylie (so no Jill, Brianna, Bayley, Maggie, etc)
4. Can't end with an N (mushes together with the last name).
5. I prefer names of one or two syllables or easily nicknamable.
6. I'd like people (including me!)  to think "oh that's pretty" when they hear it (and not "oh that's weird")

A bit of an odd question/poll. I have over the years in incountered alot of traditions when it comes to naming kids. Such as my husband will name our sons since he's a boy after all! or My partner gets to pick all the middles but I get the first names!

I tried to think of every possibility, if I missed something just select other LOL. If you are not married/with someone just select which one you think would appy to you.

Poll )

Feel free to comment with details and reasons as of why.

My husband and I volunteer in the nursery at church. They're 1.5 to 3 year olds.
Their names:

Mylee
Ruby - siblings

Natalie
Mara - siblings

Evie
Kelly
Malory
Monique
Moriah
Sara
Marcella (hispanic family)
Andrea
Dionysis (I think i may have mispelled this one - like the greek goddess, her brother's name is Thor)

Zach
Chase
Brigham
Cameron
Ethan
Justin

Lots of M girls names. I call Malory and Moriah by the wrong names quite frequently. But I pretty much like all of them except Dionysis

For those of you who have children, what did you name them and how/why did you come to that decision (why did you pick that name?)?
