Another random name poll! Gilmore Girls characters. Pick the name you like - not the character you like :-) Unless they happen to be the same LOL. I couldn't put all characters but I think it's a fair mix.

So I'm reading a book right now called "A Handful of Dust". The author? Well, his name is Evelyn Waugh -- a guy named Evelyn is pretty hard for me to swallow, but my Googling leads me to believe he didn't particularly care for it either.

One of the big trends in recent years as been to give little girls distinctly male names. Some work, others don't.

1) What are some female names that would work on the opposite sex?
2) What are names that were originally meant for males that have since become too girly to be used?

Not pregnant, TTC, or even considering either for at least another ten years. I'm just curious about how names play a part in how you perceive someone.

There's a singer named ALGEBRA. OMG!

Here's an article about her if you don't believe it. She claims it's not a stage name.

I was catching up on old entries and was highly amused by the link to Utah Baby Names (that link goes to the post, not the site, sorry).

From there I found this little article which should probably be the manifesto of this community, or something:

The Nayme Gaimme.

ok so normally i don't mind creative(well not TO creative) spellings of names, but for some reason, this one really bothers me.

WDYT?

Is Porcelina (Poor-suh-leen-uh) too weird for a girl's middle name?

I'm afraid I just love it too much and I'm not able to see how weird it could be...

Edit: I'm not really asking for if you like it or not, just if it's too out there for a girl's middle name.

The other day at Church a new family came and they were introduced to everyone before service. They had 2 kids a boy named Logan and a girl named Kinley, pronounced KIN (as in family) LEE.

I think I kinda like it. It helped that they were from Alabama and said the name with thick southern accents so im not sure itd have the same ring with my Northern Michigan accent but I think its a cute name for a girl...

Opinions on the name Kinley... feel free to share

What do you think of my twin cousins' names?  Taylor Rae and Tuesday Nicole.  They are going into kindergarten next month and I saw them today for the second time ever.  They live in California while I don't.
