Tempest?

I really like this name for a girl, but I'm not sure if I'd ever be brave enough to use it. I seem to have this habit of loving names that tend to be a little too 'out there'. I don't want my child to be stuck with a name everyone else has like I did when I was younger. I HATED being Jennifer T., along with Jennifer B., Jennifer C., and Jennifer W., etc. My husband, Jason, feels the same way. We want our kids to have good names, not super common names, but most definitely not weird names. Anyway, we both like it, but I'm worried it might be a 'weird-one'., Opinions?

I like it actually.
It is quite odd but not tooooo odd. I've read books by Kathy Reiche (sp?) There's a series based on the books called 'bones' on Sky One, about an anthropologist called Temperance, nicknamed Tempe.
Also, I happen to love shakespeare refrence names.

That's actually a popular hit TV series on Fox here, (I think you live outside of the states?) It's GREAT, I have been meaning to read those books, but haven't gotten around to it yet. If the show is good, I'm sure the books are better.

I haven't actually seen the show. The books are rather thick but i love them. Sort of written in the style of the anthropologist version of John Grisham.
