Jan. 8th, 2007 05:40 pmI know I made a post similar to this a few days back, but I was wondering about which name you PREFERRED.
Beatrix
Beatrice
Personally, I am undecided.
Beatrix is beautiful because it is less common, and we all know Beatrix Potter. I don't like it though because it could be shortened to 'Trixie'.
Beatrice is lovely, but slightly more common, and to me has a more old-dumpy-lady feel to it.

Date: 2007-01-09 12:02 am (UTC)It has that uncommon sassy, spunk to it. It has a letter X - I'm a real sucker for a letter X. I wonder if the coming movie Miss Potter will have any effect on this name. People are loving the old-fashioned stuff lately...
Beatrice looks like beat-rice which was how I pronounced it as a kid (some book I read) and while not common, just seems boring. I picture a boring bland person being named beat-rice.

Whenever I like a name, it's MINE.
I'm very selfish that way.

How was Lenore ruined for you (don't worry- I've never liked this name anyway)?
